It comes out at a constant -1. Probably a little less if you figure that you'll waste some damage absorption on stuff that is less than five. While I don't use it myself, it's not that bad and there's a logical progression.

-1 constant
-2 conditional
-3 rare conditional

This is the new max armor class for Warriors. I can confirm better Shield options as well in PvP creation then we had before. So if your sitting on a PvP build, its time to reroll your PvP creation.

I used this in Team Arenas yesterday and everyone was like WTH is that? This is only available to Factions owners I believe. as I didn't get this option when I made a Prophecies campaign pvp build.

I made this post cause I got some idiot in Team arenas that was insisting I was lying when I was saying that the new Armor max is 100 not 85...

But what exactly are you going to do with 13 Strength?

Yup, I'm well aware that the -5 20% comes out as -1 damage reduction, assuming all the damage you take is 8 or above(don't forget about that superior absorb).

Although I will sometimes use a shield like this, it's rare. But again it's far better to have a few to choose from, since one won't always meet the circumstance(to the best it can, anyway).

IMO -2 stance is probably one of the best, as you'll be in a stance when you're at the most vunrable postition; over-extended and spiking a caster. If you start to get pummeled while doing this, this saves you some small damage, you then hit sprint/rush, and get back so you can get healed and not put your monks in a highly vunrable postition.

But then -2 enchant, and -3 hexed do have their place, along with -5 20%.

On a basic shock warrior using only axe skills, strength skills, a few unlinked and shock - where else would you want to put your points? More strength = more armour penetration = more damage. It would be a bit stupid to put points in air magic instead as shock is never going to do much damage anyway...

According to extensive tests it has been proven to be extremely weak. As far as I am concerned; Strength is the Sprint and Bull's Strike attribute, period.

=HT=INGRAM:

You do know that the damage reduction bonus for the Knight's Set is global from just ONE peice of knight's armor... so the max armor set (vs elemental: they are all the same against physical) is what you have, except instead of helm and boots, you run Hammer Mastery helm and Knight's boots. Oh, and if you are running hammer, where are the Stoneskin gloves? Seriously... and if you use hammer with no knockdowns, why bother running hammer?

13 strength is ridiculous, unless you ahve a good build using only mastery and strength, its too much. The strength bonus is very small, and healing sig in gvg is nice, although in HoH is a waste.

This thread is a classic.

Warriors are the most dangerous thing you will ever face in GvG period. warriors need armour for the reasons JR says, they are often having to operate without monk support. Now it is possible to get to rank 300 without realising this, as you might not have faced a decent team yet, but once you face a decent warrior team (sub rank 20) you will understand the points JR is making better. Nothing will hurt you harder or faster than a good warrior on a good team, no matter how much counter warrior stuff you bring

As an aside, I saw someone running with two obsidian warders in the top 20 the other night, forget who now though :/. Its rare though, thats for sure

Like I said I don't play a warrior hardly at all. normally I'm either a monk or a ranger. I suck with warriors. Thats jsut my PvP build I made to show people the new armor stats. thats all...

And your right I do switch off a good bit on this build with axe and hammer. Most of the time I use axe actually. But for whatever reason I had this one rolled with a hammer. This is the character I openly delete and remake almost every time I use it, cause I'm playing with builds...

Thanks for the advice Iraqalypse Now... I did know that but I often forget it when I'm rebuilding the silly thing. But for this convo it was important to show the full set I think. BUt I prob will switch out when using it, as I am really trying to learn the warrior class and get a feel for it. I'm just not use to being almost totally dependant on others for my regen. lol Too use to being the monk I guess. lol

Unless you are a stance tank... mastery helm, knight boots, and gladiator everything else is still the best, period. (stonefist if you're hammer)

if you are a stance tank, go with legionairre's

no other armor is really good for any kinda purpose. Berserkers and sentinels isn't worth it, at all.

For the record 14 is the last breakpoint for Bulls Charge [Elite]. If you are insistant on using that skill AND sentinels it would be worthwhile to drop down to 15 weap attrib.

Really tho 13 str is too high for a GvG based warrior.

Edit: What's wrong with beserkers tho? I figured with the increase in spike builds being ran higher health = good?

Having beserker's as a second set would be very advantageous against a spike group - take off the sup rune and you can get upwards of 600 health on a high-armor warrior. Otherwise, i don't see much use for berserker's in a practical sense, at least not yet.

I would suggest to get a feel for the warrior is to start one in PvE and get a feel for it.I made several builds in beta playing in the random arenas most Fort Congo my favourite. That is the only other place to experiment and I still am doing it.I don't go with a FOTM build I prefer my own or a little change from the FOTM builds.
