guess i understand fotm differently from most ppl, i meant whats the build u see most often in tombs. aka overdone
iway
lamespike...er i mean bloodspike
or smite?

i think bloodspike's overrunning tombs right now. i ran into one that didnt even have the spike on time but they just kept spamming shadow strike, lifebane, vamp gaze and repeat and they still won. of course one of our warrior was crap and didnt even pressure them into healing.

then there was one last night in hoh that capped the altar and dragged their ghostly off and ran back to their base.....

of course lots in between but just pointing out the lame things they do.

one of the spikers was using my name too :/

IWAY and Bloodspike arnt really a FotM as they have both been around for ages and wont fade unless they are nerfed.
Dual Smite IS a FoTM but I personally really enjoy playing that build.

Iway is past. Bloodspike is past.

They are viewed as easy kills now for the decent teams.

Dual Smite is the flavor atm.

That is the reason why those builds are still here,people like it. They don't like it cause they really enjoy in it,they like it cause they farm fame.I mean,come on,you can't enjoy playing the same build for 4 months. If ANet would nerf those builds they would get rid of noobs,but with noobs goes the money for next expansion.

Or they could just overhaul the gameplay mechanics of HA, to *not* promote gimmicks like that.

1- iway (even though it's easy to beat, we encounter it very often. beating them is an easy way to get free fame)
2- blood spike (takes a bit more skill than iway, very popular and is nasty to fight against)
3- smite (smite is less popular than the previous 2, takes some skill to play it properly and it also takes more time to make this kind of team)

I agree with art. Today I spent around 8 hours in HA and I saw way more Blood and FoC spike teams than IWAY.

there is way more blood and foc spikes than iway now, i find them nearly every map and rarely ever see iways now except in the first 3 maps and sometimes on scarred earth.

IWAY hasn't been FotM for since HoH moved from Tombs.

Bspike is old now..

Dual Smite is back, so i'd say Air of Enchant Dual Smite..

dual smite is really old, foc spike is really old, same with iway and blood spike, all are old but yet still around.
iway teams are what i see being made most often now, although i see alot more balanced and blood spike teams when i actually play, weird. guess cos they get knocked out in the first round usually lol.
every now and again i see vimway, which again is very old, but made a comeback, kinda.

5 bloodspikers
1 ritualist spammer
1 ranger spammer
1 sb/infuse

i seen the potential of this soul reaping problem with the FPE testing ritualist spamming and its now an reality
you dont even need to be a good spike team... just keep that qz spammed with the other spirits and keep spamming your blood spkills and eventually the enemy monks will tap out of energy to keep up
