For RA I would definently consider bringing a rez sig, mostly because you do not know if your other teams will bring a rez. But for TA, I would never consider bringing a rez sig.

The general rule i follow while monking in pvp is that monks never should bring a rez. all 8 slots are usually used up in the monk builds i use so i cant see how i can possibly fit in a rez sig.

Echo on all other 50 thousand posts before me - no res sig as a boon prot. Even if it's RA, absolutely no res. To me, the point of doing RA is to practice for TA, or to test out new builds. You gotta learn to work with a full, normal skill bar of a boon prot - and that last skill slot really makes the difference.

No res signet skill slot 8 = Contemplation of Purity and that saves a boon monk many times more than a single res is worth.
