You sure you're not just saying that because you want a nude observer mode? <.<

Um, is it just me, or is the Touch Ranger becoming the new IWAY where, yes, it may be a tad overpowered, but it's not really that great, just popular with n00bs and gets whined about by people who cant think strategically?

I'm impressed that JR just summarized several hundred+ post threads with 5 words.

Fort Aspenwood is a rather harsh reminder to PvE wammos that they don't really understand PvP xD

I really really can't believe you're discussing anti-degen tactics here because someone screamed NERF IT ...

I seriously suspect JR is keeping such threads open for "Threads of Hilarity" reference...

Try playing a mesmer or necro WITHOUT bringing any degen or cripple/slow against warriors. That cripple/slow is all squishies have to keep them from getting slaughtered by warriors, and degen is the only way they can do decent damage against warriors.
By asking for nerf of cripple/slow/degen, you're actually asking necros and mesmers to stand still, do nothing, and let you kill them.

Seriously, would everyone who's complained about degen being overpowered please, with sugar on top, create a degen necro or mesmer and try it out in random arena *before* continuing this discussion?

wow such nice people all around

Honestly what we have here is a failure to communicate!!

So to sum it up.

IN the very crazy RA setting degen hexes is pwning someone. No matter what you take to Ra there will be builds that counter you. In Ra you can't counter everthing sorry. Honestly though its simply the nature of Ra that will run into a build that owns you since one player can't do everthing( damage, healing, interupts).
Thats Ra no nerf will fix it.

In the gvg and HA setting degen hexes are not anymore of a threat then anything else.

2 different settings 2 different viewpoints.

.

From JR-'s response, let me rephrase. By Touch Rangers being the new IWAY, I meant in the specific ways I stated, and by overpowered I meant too easy for an idiot to play, i.e. ArenaNet could tweak the build so that it requires at least a shred of competence to use.

No, a monk alone is not enough to keep a warrior clean. That responsibility falls primarily upon the other non-monk and non-warrior members of the team. Unfortunately, you're talking about RA here where almost nobody ever thinks to bring a draw conditions or a fast cast remove hex or expel hexes or heck even just a simple inspired hex.

Indeed, which is why smart teams go through the effort of keeping their warrior clean.

It's not that warriors are easy to shutdown, it's that people bring alot of counters to warriors because they're one of the two classes worth shutting down

Not really. Every thread in Gladiators that is full of as much garbage as this one is just another stab at the effort I have tried to put in to improving the knowledge of this comminty.

And so it ends.
