I could care less, and it is a good way to make money. Since Deer can't even compete in the GWWC why not? Just do a season and then sell it during the downtime.

Should the other guild members be compensated? I feel it is an abuse.

The other guild members more than likely knew and were probably ok with that. Someone wanted FoW or whatever so why not. The name of the guild isn't important, but the players in it is. Besides a good way to get FoW without a lot of PvE, HA, or ebaying.

A member of [Deer] was spamming in TA just awhile ago, and saying that [Deer] had been bought out by members of Te and WM. The person spamming this had luxon 15k chest, gloves, and legs, ascalon boots, and of course, a platemail helm. He was displaying a 60% PvE exploration title...

This is truely sad...

Default Please read this.

Let me clear up the confusion with [deer]:

The bid was at first 100k+85 ectos, which some well-connected pve-er bought. It was then re-sold to Fallen Leaders, a relatively new American guild with lots of very experienced players, for 100k and one sigil. Once the pve [deer] people realized they were becoming the joke of GW, they were going to simply disband. [FL], however, was given a chance to buy it, and after a lot of debate, decided to go ahead and purchase the guild. [deer] will now lead the Fallen alliance, at least for a while. There will be no more invite selling, and no more guild transactions. [deer] will at least attempt to be a respectable pvp guild, now. This I know beyond any doubt, because I was there. The reasoning for [FL] purchasing it was not for the silver trim, but for the rank - even though [deer] is only rank 300-something now, [FL] was somewhere around 1000 at the time deer was bought. Essentially, they (FL) were buying rank and recruiting power. The silver trim goes away eventually, anyway - we knew that.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about what happened in between the time [deer] was first sold, and the time [FL] bought it. All that greedy invite-selling nonsense should be blamed on the impulsive pve people who first bought the guild.

The people who now own [deer] (Fallen Leaders) were once members from one or more of the following: Te, WM, EvIL, DtwO, iGi. Mainly Te and WM, though.

PLEASE stop spreading misinformation. The rumors are rediculous enough as is.

That business about the platemail helm and the exploration title is something of an inside joke. If he was one of the guys who bought [deer], he was at least r9, and no doubt a very experienced gvger.

**EDIT = typos.

Like, who cares? His guild,he can do with it whatever he wants. Only one who got owned in all this are members of Deer who probablly didn't get a single ecto.

From the thread over at guild hall it seems a lot of the Deer members got a bit screwed over by the leader, pretty nasty to lose their capes and it doesn't seem like they got any of the gold either. But what do you expect when you're in a guild consisting of numerous kids, you kind of ask for it...

I can't really say I'm disappointed they broke up, many of them were trash talkers, they were dull to watch, and doing things like flashing tigers to EViL is just not cool.

Bye

Could you please list the names of these players, out of curiosity?

My sentiments as well, but kids will be kids and who am I to tell players how to spend their in game money and items.

Why wouldn't all of those top players just start a new guild? No one is going to want to join a rank 300 guild and everyone knows Deer ran rangerspike, so the recruiting possibility is virtually zero and would be greater with a new guild. The name is rather clever and the silver lining is nice, but the silver is temporary and the name is not worth 100k.

It would be more logical to pay people 100k to get into deer.

That doesn't make any sense at all. If you have an average group of players you could go from rank 1000 to rank 300 in 5-10 matches.

Recruiting power? anyone who gvged for any of the guilds you listed would be able to recruit people without too much difficulty, and if they are from all those different guilds then they have a decent amount of players already.

Sure, mate - I'm sure they wouldn't care (haha). Now, I really can't recall exactly which people were in which guild(s), but I do understand most of them are somewhat known in the pvp community. Let's not forget, I'm very much a noob in this crowd. These fellows made up most of the core of the original guild:

Leviathan Guardian
Chi Nu
Cleric Vorsoth
Binladin
Kimi to Machi Made
The Mighty Vorgon
Ciric Thrion

And there are others who came along soon afterwards (such as myself), but I won't list them, since I'm skeptical as to whether they'll be staying with the fallen alliance.

For the record, I personally wasn't in favor of purchasing [Deer], and there was a lot of debate about many things before the guild was purchased. Buying it was really a compromise amongst many opinions concerning Guild tactics, dedication, etc. I'll just say that it was needlessly complicated, but in the end it smoothed a lot of edges.

The ambition is to turn [Deer] around, but that is yet to be seen.

I am the new owner of [Deer].

Just for you all to know,
It was bought by a guild named Indecently Dressed [Nude].
We had got [Nude] to rank 86, then sold it for 100K+15 Ecto's.
Then the NEWB who bought it was a pve noob and ruined the rank.

The members of Nude included ppl from very high ranked guilds.
Even former members of War Machine, Te, RnS, and other top 100 guilds.

Then we created a guild called "Fallen" in hope of being an empire.
After the first night, The only section of that empire that had done gvg was 4-0 at rank 1060.
It was a SMURF for testing builds, and not wanted to be high ranked,
because of the fact that it is a "TRAINING" Section for new members.
That section is for any member who wants to learn how to be a top gvger.
Like a crashcore for a 3 week gvg.

Then we found out Deer was for sale because I am in a top 20 guild atm,
and it is my job to report any new builds or Rumors about gw.

As for all of you to know, most of us have 2-4 accounts and are also currently in top 20 guilds.

We bought [Deer] Not for the silver lining, but in hope of restoring its rep.
You will see within the new few weeks Deer Start wining halls and pwning gvg's and back in top 100.

This guild is now a r 9/10+.

We DID start a new guild, but we found that only 5 core players could be on at a time, so we tried recruiting. We found either all newbs, or inactives, etc. So we ended up just kicking them. We ended up having to guest 2-3 people all the time, and we found that to be a pain, it took several hours to throw together a gvg. Deer was only bought for easy recruitment, and we HAVE found it easier to recruit.

We didn't buy deer for the publicity or the fame or for brag rights. We bought it because it made things easier on us. Just keep your eyes open, in the next month.
