Usually after the shockwave, any decent player would have run away...long time ago. Either that or you're half dead anyways.

But yes, it works wonders in RA.

Emphasis here is definately on decent. The puff of black smoke near you (teleportation effect) means start running away cause that A/*, R/A, W/A, Me/A, or E/A is up to no good. I try to create as much space between me and the player that teleported to me as soon as possible. This play-style has on multiple occassions had several PBAoEs miss me altogether such as aftershock and frozen burst. Also, everytime I see an assassin primary or secondary the thought of teleportation enters my mind so I am already on the lookout for it.

Why on earth would you take an Assassin secondary anyways...

If you don't need a lot from your secondary the assassin can help with dashes and such, but kind of useless for attack skills other than deadly arts.

I would have thought using a secondary Monk would give you more choices. Having an Assassin secondary nearly contributes nothing to your profession. Wheras using a Monk secondary would actually give you a Purge Signet, at least.

Dark Escape is a nice skill for a running build as it halves damage. Dash sounds nice, but really isn't worth it.

Though I agree. Monk is one of the best secondary professions
