Default +5 Energy sword VS 15^50 for Sword for GvG

i want to know whats better

a +5 energy sword... thinking if i customize it it wouldnt make TOO much of a difference, and also put a zealous then you could pull of a gale sword warrior ^_^

or....15^50 more dmg baby!!!

which is better for GvG

no war brings gale anymore after the update, its just a shock war. and with the glad setarmor the war has 26 energy, since both gale and shock cause exhaustion, it dosnt really matter...id prefer the 15^50 dmg but its not wrong to break the norm. a zelous mod is always good though.

A Warrior should never sacrafice damage for anything else; their sole purpose is to get kills through spike and pressure application, so losing that 15% will hurt more than losing that 5e.

If you need energy, go with a +6-12 energy (req air for higher values) offhand.

15^50 for your primary weapon of choice when dealing damage, and after a shock you often want to unload all your adrenaline, so you really want that damage generally.

I guess if you run into exhaustion problems a lot, the +5 energy could come in handy, but I would imagine it would be very limited situations and generally not worth it.

Some warriors bring gale, but it is definitely less prevalent than shock in GvG at the moment.

The only thing a warrior might even think of sacrificing damage for is if they plan to go base soloing the entire game and they need self-reliability.

Even then you don't really need to sacrifice damage, warriros get plenty of slots of extra utility.

He means that it's silly to sacrifice base weapon damage for survivability (the only thing you'd consider sacrificing damage for) when you have room for heal sig, shock, shield's up, etc.

Having a +energy set could be useful though if your running Shock. Problem is switching back to the damaging set might take too long making the Shock useless anyway.

If you really need higher max energy, I've had some luck running 9 air magic and a focus at times. It lets you use Shock a lot more freely, and I never really miss the Strength.

The downside is that the lack of a shield makes you much easier to spike out, and if you get DP you won't be able to do your job.

/agree: I've now tried taking a +5 energy sword on my third weapon set, accompanied by an air focus. The net gain in switching is 8, I think, which is alsmot one more shock. It's pretty nifty to switch to a +energy set, shock, then switch back to zealous (provided it isnt a spiking situation).

It's not as nifty now that exhaustion goes negative. Before that change, you could see some crazy gale warrior focus swapping going down. Anyway, I'm wondering why in the world you would switch to zealous if you're exhausted to low or negative values anyway. That extra energy is a complete waste.

Of course, switching is useless if you're already exhausted out of energy. But for that extra shock in a clutch situation, a quick swap could be well afforded. Swap back to zealous to recover lost energy, not exhaustion, btw.

how often does everyone spam shock that they're constantly exhausted?

shock leads off adrenal spikes, or interrupts really nasty spells if needed. Not spammable.

more on subject, there's a really great air magic +1 health +30 req 8 collector's item in the jungle i sometimes use, i find 8 air magic more manageable than 9 for some reason.

Yeah, I picked that one up and swore by it in the age of gale warriors running hella focus swaps. I've recently deleted it, with the advent of more useful shields and less need for fancy focus swapping (though I do have a nolani wand & +5e runic shield set for emergency sprint/endure)

Incorrect. That's for the warrior's strength attribute.

Get both and cuztimize both more dmg but you may not be able to sell them later if you need the $ but hey I'm broke as hell but I farm greens and sell but as I was saying get both cuztimize both in GvG I often need energy to cancel frenzy so i pull out a Totem Axe and then swap back to my Hammer/Sword/Axe for whatever I am running. Get both because you may need to switch for the extra energy and a +5 energy focus (like gingerbread focus) or a focus found by killing Charr can be helpful I have a +5 energy Healing Ankh or Gingy Focus with my Totem Axe so I get +10 energy.
