I thought the new update made absorption runes only work on the piece you put them on.

Arenanet fixing problems...WTF is that? ive never heard of that before.

If arenanet wanted to fix the problems in this game, they would have. Let's review all the year-old bugs that have been reported.
  • Infuse Health doesn't work sometimes.
  • Ranged attack skills don't work sometimes.
  • No Z axis (its not a bug, but its easily fixable)
  • You can melee someone a mile away if they teleported before you hit (im all for letting people hit when someones kiting, but hitting someone 2 aggro circles away just doesnt make sense.)
  • Getting stuck in the ground
  • Some pet attacks don't work properly.
  • Typos in skill descriptions.
  • Degen takes an extra second to kill someone.
  • Skills that raise/lower health don't show up on health bars until the next time they take damage.
  • Practiced stance and order of apostasy both have a typo that says "you win"

These bugs will never be fixed. Why? We will never know.

Thought I'd point it out.

It's neglagent to talk about PvP balance without thinking about the implications of PvE balance. ANet has to consider both when balancing. They are still doing balances. Just wait there is still more skill balancing to be done by ANet. They'll probably solved such problems soon.

You also neglected to ever run an infuser to know what the bug is.

Please don't criticize me unless you have some clue what youre talking about. They did NOT fix infuse health, regardless of what the website says.

PM sent. Let's keep this thread relatively on-topic rather than just listing unrelated issues.

I think Izzy said on WoC that the z-axis thing was a fundamental problem with the game engine, and that it can't be fixed.

Think about it, if buying chapter 3 is the only way to fix the things that everyone is crying about, what are your options? Either you'll have to quit guildwars, or more likely, you'll have to buy chapter three. But I'd agree that it's more likely that that there will be more things to fix. Like with factions, people will probably just use the new skills to enhance their tired old FotM builds, rather than making new ones.

It can be fixed by putting the same hit restrictions on melee attacks that ranged attacks have. Make them return "obstructed" if you try to melee through a bridge or other height difference.

Even if they somehow can't do that, they can use arcs to determine whether you're hitting someone from a rediculous angle.

You are absolutely correct. However, this thread is not about chapter 3, it's about how horrifically bad the recent skill balances are. Making new brokenly overpowered skills won't fix that.

Order of Order of Apostasy | 25 | 2 | 0
For 5 seconds, whenever an ally hits with an attack, a W/R is removed from that group and you gain 14...25% dignity.

Well, they'd have to get around to fixing the numerous false "obstructed" bugs before go applying those rules elsewhere.

maybe th is means that you're just slow at infusing and the game hates you so it takes your health anyways...

Ive been infusing longer than most people have been playing the game. I know when it bugs an when it doesn't. Also, not to brag (screw it, im 1337), tons of people tell me im one of the best infusers they've seen/played with. Anyone who plays infuser frequently knows that the bug is still there.

Those are caused by walkmeshes that don't, uh...match with the terrain. Some walls exist where they shouldn't, and vice versa. This wouldn't matter in melee combat.

How very admirable to brag on the forums. As for the second sentence, I can verify that it has happened to me once, for reasons unknown. Most people will think you just infused the wrong person.

One of my guildies tried infusing (not for the first time, but he's pretty new at it) and he was complaining that he was 100% sure he infused somebody and they were getting no health from it. Another great infuser in my guild also has this same bug happen to him very often. I think half the people I know have told me they've gotton this bug.

For those of you who play infusers a lot, back me up on this. Sometimes you know you 100% had the right person targeted, you lose half health and they get none.

And a little note back on topic...if arenanet wants people to find new builds and add variety to the game...how the f**k are we supposed to do that when touch rangers and shock assassins dominate RA with their glad point farming homosexuality?

WTB a non-bull***t arena, where good players play real builds. No iway, no vim, no touch rangers, no choking gas. Just balance. 8 good players playing a non BS build versus 8 good players playing a non BS build. That's what this game was like after the last real skill balance, when spirit abuse ended. All there was was air spike and balance. Bring those days back. Only the good players won back then. They way it should be for high level arenas.

Right. GvG has all real builds, like touchers, thumpers, shock assassins, smiters, cripshot rangers, all those are balanced for sure [/sarcasm]

Ill admit that GvG is less abused than HA, but it's still to unbalanced to mean anything. Top 20 just means you play alot, it doesnt mean youre good.

It's not THAT subtle. Touch and Cripshot Rangers are crap for GvG, or at least that's what his point was.

Touch Rangers are complete trash, sure they're good against bad people, but it's nowhere near overpowered. The problem with that build is that you don't need a brain to run it and kill bad people with it.
Touch Rangers in GvG ? What kind of guilds are you playing against ? rank 1000 ?

Crip Shotters are good in GvG, but nowhere near overpowered. They're very good for splits and movement control, add nice degen and can bring some utility like black-out. I don't see anything out of balance with that character
