Default hammer wammo build?

Hi, i would like some help on creating a hammer w/mo for HA . So far ive gotten this setup:

mighty blow
staggering blow
heavy blow
berserker stance
healing signet
sprint
healing breeze
ressurection signet

This is my first hammer warrior ive ever made so this is probably worst build ever, but if anyone can help me out with this id appreciate it .

You're on the long and satisfying track to becoming a respected PvP warrior. There are a few things that you should know before getting into PvP:

PvP is nothing like PvE, save for the barest fundamentals.
PvP is much harder to excel at.
Not everyone is supportive of your "learning" efforts.

That said, I can help you out. Warriors are the source of consistent and effective damage in PvP, not the tanks they are in PvE. Much more consideration should be given to offensive power than defensive power; it will be the monk's responsibility to keep you healed. You can help your monks, of course, by not being stupid. But, the best defense is often a good offense.

To the build: Having two adrenaline-based attacks that drain all adrenaline dones't make much sense, does it? So that needs fixing. And healing breeze is not good in PvP - just take my word for it. The damage comes at you too fast for breeze to make a difference.

Here's a pretty standard build that is good for practicing with:

Warrior/whatever

12+1+3 hammer mastery
8+1 strength
10+1 tactics

Irresistible blow
Devastating Hammer
Crushing Blow
Fierce Blow
Frenzy
Rush
Healing signet
Resurrection Signet

Use frenzy only when its safe too, ie, when you're not under attack. Rush will cancel out the frenzy stance, so if you start to frenzy, and come under attack, hit rush as fast as possible. It takes some practice to get the hang of it, but it is the most effective IAS out there.

Skill chaining is important. Building adrenaline is essential: make sure all your combo skills are charged before using any of them. The combo should go Devastating->Crushing->Fierce, in that exact order. Try to hit the combo while you have frenzy going. It should take a huge chunk out of an enemy's health, or even kill him/her. That 3-hit combo can be followed with irresistible, if necesssary. Otherwise, irresistible can be used against targets who are evading/blocking, or whenever you want to do some extra damage.

Healing signet is a tricky skill to get the hang of. Pay attention to your health, and when you're in a situation where nothing is imperitive, pop off a heal sig. It takes expereince, for sure, but it is the most efffective warrior self-heal.

Oh- If you don't yet have devastating hammer, use hammer bash, crushing blow, irresistible blow, and mighty blow. The combo should go Bash->crushing->irresistible, then.

It may seem stupid at first, but when you get the hang of it, those kills will come fast. Otherwise, good luck. Feel free to PM for additional info.

Or, if you're really pressed about being a wa/mo, put stonesoul strike or holy strike in your build, you can add a nic 100 damage if you tune your attributes correctly.

That said, it's probably better to do what byron tells you. Most hammer warriors run that build, or a similar one.

I find it im a better warrior when i got no self heal even if I do I rarely use it.

for HA i think the faster attack rate on axes could pay off nicely tho


Try out Byrons build tho, it looks nicely thought out (like we expected less )



PS audio, i think he was sarcastic, if not .. *shudders*

no its not better holy strike is overrated like how aftershock was
fierce or resistable can hit for more damage and doesnt cost energy or needs points in other attributes
a knockdown chain-spike already is using frenzy, crushing, and probably irresistable... thats already 15 energy which is already hard to come up with adding in another energy skill makes it worse

For Great Justice
Rez signet

I build up my adrenaline, Then use flurry/frenzy to quickly strike opponent in exact order : devastating - crushing - holy strike (it's still knocked down while prefotming all 3 skills) then heavy - stonesoul. Soft targets are normally dead after this combo. It's nice

you need sprint/rush
see above on holy strike/stonesoul.... inferior skills that wont get you far outside of RA/AB
fgj is cheesy also
with those 3 skills id put in sprint/irresistable/shock
irresistable is great for spike assist if you have another warrior and constant dps boost
shock should be used seldomly and mostly for ghost interupts

Shock - wtf why? The build already contains 2 knockdowns and ppl are talking there is not enough energy (shock causes exhuastion btw).
Stonesoul and holy strikes are heart of this build.If you would change them with shock/random skill that is not wammo build anymore.
Use shock at axe warrior, not hammer.

So you run a Hammer with gimped damage to help run a build with gimped damage. Love your logic. Stonesoul/Holy are garbage, and should certainly not be on a Hammer Warriors bar.

Good Warriors need another stance to cancel frenzy, and good players kite Warriors that don't have speed boosts.

This is not discussion in the context Random Arena, so post less trash.
