In every single alliance battle i've been in, and some other places aswell, every single time theres 1 or more pricks from the other team, shouting idiotic obsceneties at the other faction.

Not only is this sad, but it's totally unsporty. Example.

I am bob
Loudmouth is joe
Other loudmouth is lucy

Bob enters an alliance battle, keen on getting the last 500 faction needed to fill up his bar, and later contribute to his first 10k depositted toward the 'Friend of the kurzicks' title he's always wanted.

When the countdown timer starts, joe starts spamming the 'All' chat with 'KURZICKS SUCKDICKS' This annoys bob, as bob isn't really a kurzick, he is simply a real person wanting to play a video game, who chose kurzicks for the armour.

Then he is suprised to see a team-mate, lucy, retaliate with the same shallow moronic and somewhat traditional form of insult: Rhyming an overlyused insult with the word 'luxon' to creat "suxon"

This pointless argument carries on throughout the alliance battle until 1 side wins, and 1 of the loudmouths explode with glee and later die of a stroke.

Seriously, I know in the game kurzicks/luxons are rivals of eachother, but the dumbass, unnecessary hate has to stop.

It is always going to happen. There are too many people out there who likes to do these things that we see as wasting time. I see a lot of these threads today, about "annoying" people playing GW. I don't see a way that you can control these type of situations. Best thing to do is just set them on ignore.

Same thing in real life, a lot of people are weird and will do weird things. I can't do anything about it, just have to adapt and deal with it.

They're just having a lil fun with fake hatred towards fake enemies. Just mute chat if their particular statements are offensive. It's not like All Chat has any real use anyway in Alliance battles; your allies can read your team chat.

Well to be perfectly honest when ever you pit 2 sides against one another there will be those people who stout such things. It's a classic attempt to make the enemy seem less human than you are, so you don't feel so bad about killing them.
If you want to get rid of the obseen taunts in AB you would have to get rid of AB.

Yet,

people seem to want to focus more on the beginning concepts of the game, whereby the Luxon and Kurzicks are still at war, and thus, they themselves become arrogant and entirely immature upon the fact that they think they, if allied with one Faction, must be forever and eternally against the other Faction.

I wonder who the George Bush of each Faction is? There's got to be some moron who does nothing but attempt to start feuds with the other Faction, and reigns supreme above all other morons who try to do the same.

also, the factions are supposed to hate each other- read some lore.

plus, kurzicks are always talking smack instead of capping. Thats why Suxons win.

Plus Luxons have a red cape, which is way cooler than blue.

Anyone who means what they say in AB razzes is retarded- you all have to realize that its mostly in good fun.

Although the cinematic when you meet Count X Heltzer, shows that the kurzick are ignorant= he says that the Kurz guy beet shiro singlehandedly... I find that funny.

Look at the quest descriptions- ANet WANTS the factions to hate each other, DUH. lol

Its just a game. People like to get into the spirit of the Faction they are aligned with. If you take offense to this, then its time for a break(or reality check).

AND it was a temporary alliance not a permanent one(for anyone who cared to follow the story).

Its no different than WOW's Alliance and Horde factions. Though the players there allow themselves to get much more immersed into the game there than in GW.

Again, if you feel offended (for something this retarded) then mute the channel.

For instance, I'm Luxon and like to start my matches off with a:

"Death to Kurzicks!"

Most of the time I get "in the spirt of" messages back, but sometimes the a-holes come out...

"STFU n00b"

"Eat s@!^ and die"
