Default Your Ab Ranger Builds

i feel the trapping ranger works well, but my spiking ranger is doing the trick nicely, of course you all know what a trapping and spiking ranger build looks like, so what are your builds?

Cripshot, Cripshot, and more cripshot. Besides cripshot, yea a trapper works well.

Once I went in AB with four cripshots, we just split up and cripped everything we saw, lots of time with longbows to stay outa their range. They couldn't touch us.

Don't be interested in it. But if you want one, I think guild wiki has a toucher build. Click Here

Haven't tried this as a combo in AB's as of yet, but it looks good. As for a thumpers effectiveness in AB, I use that build a little and find it works a treat, provided monks or other supporters in your organised team can get conditions and hexes off you quickly enough. An apply poison/crip shot ranger working in conjunction with other would more than likely work well together.

I like this build

Barrage
Distracting shot
Pin down
Hunters shot
Apply poison
trolls
Distortion
Storm chaser

I know that apply and barrage look odd, but normally i function as a crip shotter using pin down and suffer slightly, but get the 7 degen easily on single targets, with option of soloing NPC bases easily by poisoning all and then wailing in with barrage with a long bow (so i don't agro). You'll need 3 in illusion to make distortion cheap and beyond that find a level of points that suits you, I'm usually ok with only 9 expertise provided I'm not barraging lots. (barrage also rocks with vampiric bows in clustered areas, like dragon hatchling stands, res shrines where people congregate).

it has flexibility in utility but also some raw power which i find crip shot builds can miss (outside of a gvg)

Degen, and more degen.

either bleeding+poison, or Conjure Phantasm+poison+bleeding or burning+poison+bleeding.

It depends on what my secondary is that particular day.

I use low E, high degen defensive builds
