Default NR/Tranq Build?

I've used the search here at Guru, I've looked at gwshack, I've used Google, and I've looked at guildwiki. I've only found a couple of one line refrences to the build, and I've pieced together that:

1.) It invovles Nature's Renewal and sometimes tranquility
2.) It invovles a Blessed Light Monk (modified)
3.) It has an interrupter (maybe two?)

But beyond that, I've not found anything more about it. I'm not looking for someone to list out attributes, skills, etc... I really just want to know what the basics of the build are. If you have any insight, or know where I can read about it, please share.

If it's an NR/Tranq build it would involve Tranquility. Doesn't rely on enchants, has at least one Rt, one Oath Shot Ranger Spirit Spammer. NR/Tranq doesnt have a set 8 characters.

haha, I would post the nr(/tranq) build on guru, but enough people in TA are already mad at us for bringing it there in the first place. I will say this though, there are 2 major versions of the build. One of them involves a blessed light monk and the other involves a ritualist. The blessed light monk version of the build uses draw and....blessed light to keep his players clean while the rit uses mend body and soul. If the spirit spamming is shut down in the rit version, the whole team is screwed, if the one spirit in the blessed light version is shutdown, a competent nr team can still take down the other team.

besides, if you need to come to an internet forum to find out the build, then you have no business running it because clearly you don't understand how it works.

are you talking about NR/Tranq for a 4v4 or an 8v8 setting?

Well, the basics of NR/Tranq are interrupting (therefore, shutting down opponent's shutdown+pressure) + pressuring (if opponent's shutdown and pressure are down, it should be easy for a warrior and a int ranger to cut through defenses.)

People say NR/Tranq is a gimmick build and requires no skill to run. This is obviously false.

Here are some of the things to keep in mind while playing NR/Tranq

First, the monk really needs to know how to kite through traps or how to use Distortion/Hex Breaker. Also, the monk is the only one with condition removal, for maximum pressure, the monk must know how to get those draws going!

Second, the trapper needs to play smart or be aware of what the enemy has in store for them.(if theres a psychic dist mes, lay em down asap -.-) If you start laying traps or spirits too late you're making the interrupt ranger's job harder and therefore, increasing the risk of shutdown skills leaking through. Also, if the spirit/trap spammer isn't doing his job, you're obviously missing out on the "NR/Tranq" Part. Also, the combination of throw dirt, dust trap, and whirling defense can counter wildblow+interrupts if used right.

Third, the warrior needs to be smarter than just a "I'm-going-to-chop-anything-thats-in-my-way" warrior. The warrior should always work with the cripshot/interruptor to shutdown their offenses if they are a big threat to your monk/trapper. If the spirits are set up right and the damage output from the melee/interrupter are adequate, you should be able to empty out the enemy's energy pretty quick.

Fourth, rez sig interruptions iare the beauty to this build. I'm not saying you're going to lose if you let the other team get a rez off, but with distchop on the warrior and many interrupts on the ranger, you should be able to tap out lots of rez sigs. Again, this goes back to my third point where the cripshot and the warrior needs to work together in order to get the most pressure out.

I don't know much about the ritualist combination of this build, but I did run a lot of NR/Tranq a few weeks ago :-p I hope I was a bit of a help.

Edit: random wink emote.

Yea listen to Lobo, some things to add though.

You wont always have a warrior with disrupting chop, so it's really the rangers job to take down res sigs.

I've personally always found that slapping a dshot on the trapper is very nice. More interrupts, and oath shotted dshot is just 1337.

Trapper keep in mind that you're probably almost all of the monks help, so make sure that you coordinate with the monk.

Also, the funniest thing ever is when they send off a warrior to try to solo the spirit spammer, because it never works and just kills their offense. A hint for the spirit spammer, if a shockwar is camping you, make sure to keep your finger hovering over esc. If you're casting a spirit and you see shock pop up, hit esc as fast as you effing can. You'll cancel the spirit, he'll waste shock, and you'll have a chance to lay the spirit without interference.

Oh, and whirling against thumpers is bad.

And tranquility is overrated.
