Default EOE, new skill with new use?

The EOE "nerf" doesn't seem like it's entirely a nerf. Rather than something you can base your tactics around, perhaps now it can be something used in 8v8 that pressure and degen teams use against spike builds to give themselves a significant advantage.

Used against a smart team, it might force them to alter their playstyle, and play into your own teams more global defenses (i.e. extra heal party). I really think this change was a buff in disguise, and will help out some builds that haven't seen much use yet.

I wont see it as a buff, but its a cleaver solution to prevent pre-combat usage. To be honest I am quite suprised about the elegant solution of Anet!

Nothing that changed in the skill made it more usefull than it was before. It was in every way a nerf.

Not necessarily. EoE hits both sides, so if you could somehow ensure that the other team will be mostly below 90% and you'll be mostly above, EoE will rock.

If you can get in that situation though, you don't need EoE. You're winning. Keep winning. The skill is still pretty useless, IMO.

Isn't the point to trigger EoE on your own party?

My view is that it prevent's auto-saccing, etc. while not eveng brushing opposing party damage-wise.

Even if you damage em a bit, chances are at least 50% will be at 100%, thus leaving them alive to finish your rezzer before he can chain ressurect for another bomb.

It was done so that BiP + EoE wouldn't be used to kill your own team in FA. Only reason this eer happend was so that the PvP weekend wouldn't go down the drain completely.

Just another show of Anet fixing things for better sales.

If you're up against a spike team, you can have the entire other team below 90% while your team, whoever's left alive, is at full health. It doesn't mean you're winning, and in that sort of scenario, it would certainly help to bring EoE along.

A much bigger problem was EOE and saccers in ABs, where you could guarantee a full team of saboteurs. There's not much you can do with a lone saccer and EOE in Aspenwood, and if you can get 3 or so to make it worth it, you'd be doing more damage by just joining and leaving.

It may not be a stretch to suggest that the whole reason for the recent massive line changes are due to an abundance of 500-100 or so games due to sabotage bomb teams, which also trigger a ton of support traffic from all the violation reports, and piss off a lot of players, neither of which are particularly good for business.
