Well its not just the Kurzicks that run around in a big group fighting.. Luxons do the same.. And in a way i can understand it ... I simply think its too borring just to run around standing on Shrines fast as i can x.x Sometimes the old Lure Warmo over to a Dark Cornor of the Map and then Ineptitude him when he Frenzys @_@ Thats something i find fun in AB's.. Making the whole AB way of fighting more Organised wouldent be that fun imo..

Sure its chaos, but the one who can controle the Chaos best, wins

lol ive seen and done some stupid things in AB, we all have. I play my sin mostly, so i usually end up taking the mes/ranger/necro/ele, but there are times when you kinda get sick of just capping. so ill dumbly rush a warrior die, and hopefully res behind him.
But ive seen alot of dumb Kurzick moves and equal or less dumb Luxon moves, and btw im kurz, from the kinda hopeful you come from behind them type plans to the hopeless mob them in front of the melee shrine. neither team is better or has more noobs, the winner is the one with less online at one time

think of it this way, all the players that enter AB are little hungry kids, now the outposts are giant lollipop sticks.
Almost 90% of the players that enter an AB act this way, they will fight it out just for the lollipop stick and will hold it until death, even if it means taking on your opponent for 5+ minutes (which does happen!).

Now those that do succeed are those that will cap a lollipop stick and then instantly move to the next, whilst only fighting when they need to.
The winner of the match is those that think outside the box, and that is only the case when you have probably 2 groups that aren't PUG's.

But on both sides this is not always the case, players that enter AB go just to wack the opponent and treating it like a deathmatch style game, and this is where most teams fail.
Yes it a different style of PvPing but just because AB is a 12 man "Death"match, doesn't mean that strategy isn't apart of it, those that think well, those that lead well and those that fight well are those that succeed.

I usually find that the Kurzick/Luxon battles have been somewhat balanced (I havnt done any lately so dont know if it has changed), even though myself as a Luxon have gone in a AB and have had a winning streak of 8 at a time. The winning streak was cut off by a team FULL of touch rangers chasing down my fellow Luxons.

Silly touch rangers.

I DO question the intelligence of some Kurzicks though on the account of Fort Aspenwood.

I play a gate bonder on the Kurzick side of Aspenwood to get amber when I feel like it. Stratagy of a gate bonder is to stay behind a gate, and while the Luxons try to get through, you bond the crap out of one NPC so the gate does not break.
I find this works bloody well, and Im having a great time fending off the Luxons with bonding.
Untill...
A warrior or assasin comes along to my gate. He notices on his mini map that there are luxons on the other side. Somehow he decides to OPEN the gate and run in to attack stuff which often leads to his death. Thanks to the glorious W/A, he has let in the Luxons which usually wipes me out and my gate bond.

Brains have been ordered but the order is delayed.

I have an account in two seperate guilds both of which are on different sides Alliance wise and I find Kurzicks equally as dunce as the Luxons though that's not saying much since you most likely are never teamed with the same player(s) more than 1 time in a row. The group your in is pure chance, you might get grouped with a bunch of new players that know nothing of pvp and the next round you could be teamed with rank 15's. again every win/lose is prue luck.

Quote:
Aisius.. I really think that if Anet is serious at making this AB game actually rewarding and fun they should restrict it to guilds only

It would be nice if they had pre meditated team Alliance Battles and (regular) Random Alliance Battles, but they don't. If you want to have 12v12 guild pvp battles do GVG or HA, AB is not the place to look.

as for your "PWNing" you just coincidentally sign on at the exsact 3 hour period that the map is changed to Etaran and winning at Saltspray is expected seeing as it's a Kurzick favored map

Yeah, i wish that theyd move the battle though. saltspray is getting boring, and entnaran is repeatitive. maybe new neutral maps would help. idk what exactly but maybe a fight in the city or something.

yes you do want them. How will you improve if you constantly face inferior opponents? You can't get better if all you face are average players. I would rather face tough teams in ab all day long and lose then blow out a bunch of pugs. You learn more from a loss to a good team then a win to a bad one.

maybe the Luxon need to fight better. I've been back a month now and AB every night. I have seen the Grenz map twice in that time. Usually it's saltspray and etnaran. It's not the maps, it's the amount of fight in the two factions.

But that's the problem when you implement a system like this. One side will always be more successful. Perhaps a three-sided faction system would work better, but that has issues as well.

How exactly is Saltspray a Kurzick-favored map?

If it was restricted to just guild teams (3 random guilds of 4), make it a separate area. I know I would prefer if my guild wasn't wasting so much time with people AFKing, quitting before the match even starts, or EoEing us. But I don't want to be restricted because I can't get a full guild/alliance team together. Maybe more people would take it seriously, maybe there would be more interest in it as well. Who knows.
Exactly, if the kurz were worse they would be pushed back into Kurz territory more often. As is I've only seen it happen once.

It's funny how many people are like it's not HoH or GVG...

It's true, ya know why? HoH and GVG are not fun...it's true...AB is actually fun...people play with builds that aren't fun, just straighforward and normal, don't try to disagree with this, it's true. They have no creativeness in HoH or GVG. In AB you can do whatever you want...that's what makes it so unique, fun, and interesting. But, people don't play the game as a game, it doesn' matter, GW wasn't made for those people anyway

GW = a casuals game, I choose to play it like that...it's not like WoW, I don't want it being a centerpoint for me...

Don't take it so seriously and play...
