Good freakin' job, and no, thats not sarcasm.

A short side track, though, I have been wanting to go for higher Gladiator titles. I have been told by another person (with the tag [TA] who I can only assume is the same guild) that you almost exclusively do TA/RA? My alliance has been unethusiastic about this, and I was wondering if, provided my information is accurate, I would be able to try out for membership on one of my accounts?

I am UAX and have been playing since the first Prophecies beta.

I play with a lot of the guys from [TA] on a daily basis, and they pretty much play team arenas and nothing else, aside from a little PvE here and there. and some HA. but predominately TA.

Actually, I first got the idea for the name from Diablo 2, whom many people will remember the "Mephy Runs" for killing the third act boss called Mephisto.

I then looked it up, and it was just 1337, so now I use it.

Mad props on the r6 Gladiator. I takes skill.

I do disagree with whoever said "Good IWAY".

No such thing. Successful IWAY? Sure.

You could farm the zaishen for glad points for ~2 weeks after they 'fixed it.' This title is no more impressive than any of the vanity titles.

Jese. And guess what unko was doing during those two weeks? Constantly playing TA with us and all the other TA frequenters.

Sometimes I ahte how cynical people can be. And I hate how that makes me have to defend my friends over and over.

Im sure your friend has got his title the 'legitimiate' way, but the problem with these titles is that they do not accurately reflect skill. Although if you were unskilled many of these titles would be difficult to achieve, it doesn't mean they are particularly worth much. If you think grind is something to be congratulated for, then go go unko!... i guess

I play with Unko alot, hes a capable monk and ive made quite alot of glad points with him. As for people suggesting he RA'd all his points, its false (he has ra'd some, but not as many as alot of r5's ive seen...and because he lives in japan, most players are asleep on american servers while he plays)

and yes [TA] is a TA exclusive guild (Unko said theyre rank 1.3k after losing a GvG and dont count on doing many more...)

Exactly, he plays when we're all asleep. Have you ever TA'd during those times? Try it... 4/5 matches are the spill from RA, and 80% of the TA groups are just as bad. IMO it's easier to farm points using a TA build at those hours than it is to farm RA points, or even Zaishen points, to some extent.

You really have to try it some time to grasp just how bad some of these groups can really be. *shudder

I know, it is easyer, however considering the ammount of glad points he has, and the ammount of time he plays (about 18hours, fell asleep on his keybored a few times, im not joking...) he does also play alot during usa prime time, and has beaten manyer good teams.

Indeed, we know him as we've played against him quite a few times. We rarely lose to his group and it's always extremely embarassing for us when it happens (it has, once or twice *blush.)

Well sno, you ARE in [eat]. Unko plays with us a lot, and you guys are basically the only group we ever lose to, unless we're joking around or someone decides to go afk.

And also Unko doe splay on American servers. And the funny thing is, that even though he's in Japan, he's on every single time I get on GW. I mean, I've seen his name greyed out in the friends list maybe 3-4 times total since I've known him.

I can also vouch for the fact that Unko will sometimes fall asleep and his character will just stop moving in a game. He also tends to go afk in between games a lot to heat up noodles...

I have to say that Unko doesn't only play when we're asleep... he plays CONSTANTLY...

Lol, yep [TA] is probably TA exclusive. I mean, we won like 3 lost 4 or something like that. The problem is that my guildies a) have no GvG experience and b) get extremely discouraged extremely fast if we lose. So I've basically given up trying to get them to Gvg.

doesnt matter if title does or doesnt represent skill, got it by playing wammo or anything. bottom line is that its a rank 6 gladiator and so far he's the only one so far that i saw with that title.

Why the embarassement? You make [EaT] actually sound good. To be honest, whenever we beat EaT running NR/Trank we get called noobs and lame, and ive never (and i mean NEVER) got a gg from them (whether we've won or lost).

EDIT:For the record EaT tends to run the NR, I've rarely seen them run balanced, only degen or NR.

I thought we'd already realised that TA glad points are easier to achieve than RA ones... 9 out of 10 matches you'll get in a run last for less than 2 minutes and are against a bunch of randoms... It's easier to farm glad points prime time hours than it is to farm RA where you'll get teams that are incable of killing a monk.

Team Arenas is almost as bad as randoms since they allow people to enter individually again.

Rank 6 glad is still a lot of dedication to have so quickly though and it's worth congratulating for effort alone imo.

This thread needs less drama

We're [Eat], not [EaT]. [EaT] is Melted Chocolate Bunnies, who as far as I know never ta. Though I won't say we don't talk shit in ta (because quite frankly, we do...) we don't really say things like 'lame' unless you run something that is lame, like touch rangers. We have various taunts that we make up in fun, but usually at least 2 of us will say GG in any given match (win or loss, especially during a loss.) We've played RezQ a few times (although not much recently) and as I recall they were always good competition. I don't have anything against RezQ or any sort of grudge, nor do any of us afiak (in fact one of our guildies has a friend in it,) but if you've got some pent up jealousy thing going that's fine with me. I'll be sure to GG you next time our 'lame' build GG's yours in 1:30.

As for your edit... what's your point? We haven't always run NR, we ran several builds long before we ran NR. It's just that currently our NR build is very good against the ta metagame. Our main build right now wins most matches in under a minute, which is really nice, and it's a nice change from the pressure build we had with the crip shot.

that's nonsense, if we don't say gg, or start trash talking, it's usually because someone else started.

and rezq doesn't? You guys have been running fourway's mend body and soul rit/nr build for every match I've seen you run in a while. Anyways, I paid my dues running numerous builds (mostly balance) for most of my glad points, but when the metagame went hex heavy it was time to counter it. So if playing smart and introducing NR/tranq to the TA metagame makes us bad players so be it.

GG rezq.

I think it's more the falling asleep at the keyboard. You gotta admit, not many people play TA for such a long time straight that they fall asleep while playing.
