anything that has nr, or a counter for nr, is going to be good. NR is both awesome in TA, HA, and pretty sweet in GVG. So basically, you need to have someway to counter that skill.

iway doesnt run with a ritualist anymore.

But the point is, that most ppl are talking about adapting the current builds to 6 vs 6. Since there's lots of iway, there will be some sort of it also in the current weekend, same goes for balanced. Players always take the basic of whatever build is popular and change it to the current situation where it is most likely to be succesfull. The core of nearly all builds in HA look more or less the same since the nerf of KD/AS-smite (about 10 months ago). And even if 6 vs 6 is going to stay after nightfall (as suggested by some in another thread) things will develop the same as they did now: FotM builds. The positive effects of getting new builds wont last long as soon as ppl realize they will be succesfull in getting lots of fame, then everyone will play that build. Cookiecutterbuilds have dominated and will be dominating HA (and thanks to observermode, GvG as well) forever.

I dont HA too much because it take A REALLY LONG TIME to get a group when you have no rank.

However I went there last night and the place was full and I never had to wait, the place was Mostly VIMWAY groups but I get into some balanced groups and run CG. Ended the night gaining 3 fame to boost myself to 17 total, woot!

I'm guess there were alot folks in there just checking things out for to prepare for this weekend.

lol. Chances are no teams will be wasting a monk spot for an infuser, so hopefully rspike will work

Whether you are fighting a team with an infuser or not, 3 infusers for that matter, rspike should work, if it doesn't you have serious timing issues to worry about unless of course you're dealing with the spike being broken. There are two types of spikes that are infuseable, bad ones and broken ones.

And going along with your brilliant logic...your own build that capitalizes on the possibility that other teams don't have an infuser falls prey to itself...I have a good idea though, Arcane Echo, Echo, Aegis, Echo, Aegis, Aegis, Aegis make sure you have afterburners or you wont get all those off!

Thumbs down

First I must say this: 6vs6 is not as good as 8vs8.

I hope this is just a test of a new mod that will be implemented in a new area, different of HA. The Double Fame is important to make more people play it so that they can test it decently.

Really, I’ve been playing this all weekend and I’ve always faced the same builds, vimiway, iway or thumper dual smite… Some times, but rarely, we get mass hex/degen builds.

What’s the freshness in this? If you want something new, just wait for Nightfall since the metagame will shift drastically.

I’ve talked to many people which play HA for a long time and they are saying they wont buy Nightfall if HA continues this way.

I see people that normally play HA, like some CC, defending 6vs6 mode in this forum. But did you won something this weekend? Don’t think so…

GuildWars was balanced and designed for 8vs8. Damage and healing for example. During this weekend it’s just unbalanced, that’s why you win so much. It’s like 12vs12 in alliance battles… It doesn’t work as good as HA and GvG.

i think. HA is infested with rangers. and natures kind of owns. and so does debilitating shot. run a combination of these and win. Actually, let the other team bring natures - there's about a 75% chance they'll have it.

Tbh, I prefer 8v8 even though that does mean lame holding builds and gay spikes.

They call me "MR. Fame 8" I think I'm going to pop over to HA's and give it a try, since the elitism is out the window for the weekend, anyway. Looking forward to getting it handed to me, but gotta learn somehow.

And it's kind of amazing to me that in the Riverside forums, the majority are liking this event. Easier for us newbies (NOT noobs) to get into groups & all that. Over here, the discussion about the weekend event turns into one about how to make IWAY & VIMWAY builds work with only 6 players, even though the "respectable" HA regulars that I know hold these 2 builds in contempt!

About R-spike...I've faced a couple while running vimway..but I'd really like to play a good team running it. We have rolled them when we've met them.. (we=unranked nub vimways) Disrupting blow>dual shot, warrior armor>spike dmg. I have really very little to base this on, but when you force the rangers to kite, you have a chance to trap em, and gg. Killing the single monk never seems to be much of a problem anyway.

And yes, NR is win pretty much..it doesn't matter much vs hex heavy teams as there isn't a single skill in Vimway to remove hexes. Vs Smite teams..its typically gg very quickly for one..the pressure typically beats ours, especially when they kill NR and we are running 4 vim/2 iway. meh
