I hate to revive this topic, but let's see...

First off, they get rolled in GvG. In top 100s, they get rolled even faster. So by your logic, there isn't really any harm in nerfing them because it doesn't affect competitive play.

Second, they did address (read: nerf) them after all, check the sneak peek for details.

They didn't nerf, they gave teams a counter. It also counters shock, so every team in HA is going to run that (though Ward of stability is superior for countering shock) and that elite shout that prevents interruption is going to be a must...Halls is simply going to turn into a gankfest...which should liven things up a bit.

Press B and pick a random team. Chances are, they're running smite. Who wouldn't run a build that heals and does damage at the same time?
68 vs 163, no smite outside of a memo with judges, no axes
4 vs 67, no smite, no thumps, a W/A
79 vs 51, no axe, no thumps, a flagstand coward sin
148 vs 93, one axe, no thumps, no smite
61(68) vs 91 again, no AoE smite, 91 played a hex degen build and won
18 vs 38 no smite, no thumps, one axe and three swords
20 vs 54 no axes, flagstand sin. Wi's running that thriple smite of a sin gimick build. And the build with no axes, smite or thumps won.

And as a note, none of these builds looked remotely similar. So now can you tell that smite is not overpowered, and neither are thumpers? And damn, man, I saw just as many hammers and swords as I did axes. Only one guild was running thumpers, and really, I saw that as the death necros fault above anything else.

The most popular build right now is two warriors, two rangers, but GvG is far from stale, or a coin toss. So I dunno if you're just to retarded to press b, or a troll. I wouldn't be surprised if it was both.

Here's what i suggest.

I suggest that instead of just making up and posting some random bollocks that makes you look like a complete idiot, you actually go and fight a Guild battle

He's a shameless troll, actually bothering to pay attention to what's going on in the game would defeat the purpose.

No, Order of Apostasy is not overpowered.

Wait, wait. This shardfenix character actually thinks that Touch Rangers are good solo characters? They are melee, and worse melee than warriors, to be sure. Do you think that warriors are unstoppable solo machines? Didnt think so. Almost any solo-oriented build used by intelligent people can beat a toucher without breaking a sweat. Anguish Mesmers. Crip Shots. Water Eles. Anything-with-a-reasonable-snare.

Whining about Touch Rangers equates to whining that Guild Wars requires skill. Cry more.

Flawless logic as usual, Shard.

You're of the opinion that the only builds being run in GvG right now are smite and spike? DieInBasra already pointed this out once, but just for another taste of what Observer looks like, let's take a look.

16 vs 39, 2 w/n swords, 1 shock axe. No thumpers, no smiters.
Esoteric Warriors vs 169, 2 W/Es on both teams, both hammers. No smite, no thumpers.

That's just two random examples, but we all could go on forever, listing build after build that doesn't contain Smite, axes, or thumpers. As for you singling out Blessed Light monks; it's a good elite. gg.

also: smiting generally does not heal. not with any significant amount, anyway.

with the nerf to AoE smiting spells, i don't think they'll see much play anymore.

I'm not singling out BL monks, I like them. Where did I say anything about axes being broken?
I didn't say every build in gvg was smite. I know every build in gvg isnt smite. I said most are. Please read things carefully, it's a good life skill. Also, don't say "gg" unless you've made a point or said something smart. It just doesn't fit if you haven't done anything.

Shardfenix, every post you've made in this thread has been derailing it with your personal QQing. Stay out from now on. Others, feel free to discuss the topic - no need to get derailed arguing his bullshit. Thanks.
