so yeah i made a build for my new guild and would like someone to help critque it and stuff.


Basic Axe - W/E

Beat the shit out of things.

Strength: 9 (8+1)

This hammer is better at spiking, but more spikable.

looks fairly straightforward as far as skill choices go.

I don't like Superior runes anymore in GVG, ESPECIALLY on monks.

Only thing I'm not so sure of is the rt/a runner. I'd have to see it in action to know how it works.

overall, i'd give it an arbitrary 7/10 because according to the thread topic I'm required to rate it (-2 because I don't like mesmers in the current Meta, -1 because your runner is weird.).

Builds looks solid except for the ritualist. Trash that and make a standard air ele runner with HP, Aegis and extinguish. Make your water ele an air ele and drop the ward vs melee. Put a second Aegis on the Me/Mo. If you want to use Dev hammer, include Fierce blow on your bar.

If you insist on keeping the ritualist, that makes this a VoD build since you're sacrifying 1 offensive position. You won't have enough raw damage to roll over any decent teams before VoD with that current setup.

ok, why dont monks use sup runes anymore? can someone fill me in on that.

and our raw dmg will come out of adrenaline spikes n such and we shouldnt go down because i got so much warrior hate in my build we will be great contendors .

they're trading off a negligible amount of divine favor bonus for +75 health.

It means you loose a very little amount of healing for alot of health, which can make the difference between being alive, and dying, and then being alive with DP.

By all means, this doesn't mean you can never have a Superior or Major rune on a Monk in GvG, it just means that if you're running a PvP you absolutly want to run a minor, because you'll want that minor on 95+% of the time, especially when you're DPed or at VoD, and that minor should really help you to avoid getting DP, which is just amazingly valuable, as there's nothing worse than a Monk with DP, aside from maybe a Warrior with DP.
