Default Idea for a build in the new HA...

Alright, so, it's my first time designing a build. What happened was, I just got kind of tired of the crappy balanced groups my PUGs have been running since the change to 6v6, so I made my own. I'm not going to pretend that any of the concepts are new, it's basically just a pressure build for 6v6.

http://www.gwshack.us/9ed2

So yeah, it's 6-man HA build designed to get kills by wearing down the enemy with constant interrupts, degen, and super-fast "Fear Me" spam while maintaining an adequate defense to stay alive and hold altars.

Assassins target casters first, with monks or other healers being by far the preferred target (temple strike makes these a relatively easy kill). Interrupting attacks can also be used to completely shut down enemy Ghost(s). Flurry, "Fear Me", and both interrupts should be used at every opportunity.

Orders Necro spams Dark Fury and Order of Pain to supercharge the assassins' fast attacks, and/or helps with healing, and/or adds degen with life siphon. has infuse vs. spike. also martyr, for those annoying vimways or condition ranger builds. :P what he will actually do will depend on the situation, but he will always be useful imo.

Death Warder, welll...taints and wards. pretty self explanatory. you've also got well of the profane and putrid explosion. both are useful against dual smites...or anyone else really ^^

For the monks, I've tried to make them resistant to being shutdown, with cop on one and hex breaker on the other. the exact skill bar of your monk pair is unimportant imo, pick your favorite 2-monk combo if you don't like what's on here.

If I forgot something or if you see any glaring weaknesses, just lemme know.

(oops, sorry, wrong forum. can someone move this to ha builds?)

I'm not seeing the threat from the Assassins, sure Temple strike is annoying, but from a Monking standpoint you can *easily* get of a Reversal of Fortune off while dazed. I wouldn't consider the type of thing that is just goign to make backlines fold over like alot of people think anwyays.

Take out Life Siphon. It's pointless to only have one hex in a team build (with the possible exception of Diversion).

Temple strike can be really nasty in a pressure build, my guild played a dual temple strike build in GvG and lost because the pressure on the monks got too much (vs a two monk backline dazed on both monks gets too much fairly quickly.)

That E/N has no energy management. Keeping Tainted up with 10 Death already takes away over 1.5 pips of energy regen. I'd just change it to a N/E. Take out Life Siphon for something useful like Blood Ritual or something. Also, do you really need a Superior on everyone? Especially the Assassins are going to get easily spiked with a Superior.

^^ he has a point and if you have any left over skill point try putting it on soul reaping, besides that, very interesting build.

switching out life siphon for blood ritual would be a good option, I guess. that skill was put in there pretty much as an afterthought anyway (I needed to fill up the bar)

that would also help take care of any energy problems that the warder might have. if you wanted to switch the warder's primary/secondary profs or play with the attribute point distribution, you could do that too, to whatever works best for you. I just thought energy storage might help better than soul reaping, since you dont have any spirit spammers or pets or minions or anything else to set it off in the build itself.

and yeah, I don't see any reason why any of the runes couldn't be changed around if you want more hp, as long as the assassins hit the 8 tactics breakpoint, anything else can be raised or lowered.

as for the assassins' damage, well. I have used these before, and temple strike isn't really meant to shut anyone down *completely*. the different components of the offense, that is, the fear me, the interrupts, and the damage, any one of those alone isn't necessarily a killing threat. but the idea is that hopefully when you combine them all together, they will be hard to handle, over an extended period.

Looks like a nice build.

My 2 cents, life siphon out, and put in extunguish.
Switch the warder to N/E.
Havent tried channeling yet in 6 vs 6, how good is it?

N/E with 10 Earth, 16 Death and 9SR makes it much better. Personally, I don't see this build doing enough damage to take down anyone with a 2 monk backline. Your only real damage comes from bleeding+DW, so a BLight monk could screw you over. I don't know much about orders in PvP, but wouldn't Blood Renewal > Life Siphion?

Just my 2 cents.

A decent team will outplay this any day. You don't really have enough interrupts for the hero, and in a two monk backline (especially with people running draw or extinguish on a utility) dazed won't be a real problem. The fear me spam is a nice idea, but you need more pressure than 4 interrupts to get kills off.
