Default Playing Mesmer in AB?

Alright, so, I'm usually playing Neriandal, my Elementalist in Alliance Battles, and I'm wondering how I can play Alsitha, my mesmer in AB's also?

What are some good suggestions, ways of doing things, etc. Certain weapons for AB while playing the mesmer?? Stuff like that.

I tried with good success a E-Denial build.

Domination 16
Inspiration 11
Fast Casting 9

E-Surge
E-Burn
Spiritual Shackles
Mind Wrack
Power Leak
Power Drain
Ether Feast
Diversion

It's quite straight forward, you simply have to burn all of target's enemy and damage him with Mind Wrack. Your primary targets are lone warriors, assassins or rangers, but you can be effective even against not-too-high-energy casters thanks to Power Leak, your burns and Diversion. Avoid Elementalists, you could be a threath but not too dangerous for them.

Beware, you're a low armored, defenceless Mesmer, so don't go provoking big groups, you're built to take down single targets, better if they are melee.

Good luck!

I have two builds for ya.. the first is one I use consistently for defense/degen/slow, second is one I run purely offensive spike:

Me/E (Cap Group Guardian)
13-16 Illusion
9-10 Fast casting
8-10 Inspiration
6-8 Earth

1.Crippling anguish {E}
2.Conjure Phantasm
3.Images of remorse
4.Clumsiness
5.Drain Enchantment
6.Power Drain
7.Spirit of Failure
8.Ward against Melee

For an oncoming sin/tank, throw up 1 2 and 3. At this point he is basically useless due to his slowed movement/-10degen and your group will finish him quickly. If a second tank/sin is oncoming and 1 is still in recharge, throw up 7 then 8 and he will be missing you 75% of time + energy to you. Use 4 on any melee that is getting to a teammate. If low on energy look for the enemy Ele/necro, which are plentiful and use 5 & 6 for more energy as well as disenchant and disrupt. The point of this build is NOT to be the teams capper/killer, but to be the guardian for your cap team. You will easily have at least 2 members of an enemy team incapasitated through slow/degen/%hit... When capping, you will be on guard for enemy teams trying to defend a cap.

The second build I use is on guild wiki, it is explained there:

Since AvA is so huge, I found fun to spec your mesmer to "hunt" either physical-types or casters and avoid whatever you can't fight. Here's the anti-physical build:

Me/A
Ineptitude
Clumsiness
Distortion
Spirit of Failure
Ether Feast
Leech Signet
Conjure Phantasm
Dash

Works wonderfully, since the average wammo in AvA doesn't pay attention to those weird purple icons in the corner and keeps whacking at you. You don't even need to chase them down. You can also solo-cap points guarded by warriors and rangers with this build.

Obviously, you're not going to take down a monk with this and probably not an ele, so just ignore the former and run away from the latter.

And if touchers are a huge problem, throw some points into diversion, then /point /laugh. (/rank corpse, if applicable)

Migraine + mass interrupts. Illusionary Weaponry. Ineptitude-based anti-warrior builds. Bring those and you will cause large amounts of pain. And of course, always bring diversion or blackout.

Default anti w/mo, touch

From playing AB a good deal now, ive been able to pinpoint the two most common enemies.... though eraly it shouldent take more than 2matches to realize that the wammo and the touch ranger will be in pretty much every battle. This build can be used to stop either of them quite efficiently.

16 illusion
13 fast casting

Ethereal Burden
Kitah's Burden
Conjure Nightmare
Conjure Phantasm
images of remourse
acumulated pain
clumsiness
illusion of weekness

The concept is pretty simple... Use Ethereal burden and kitah's burden altrinatingly on the enemy (either touch or wammo) This surves two purposes..
1. The wammo or touch are slowed down to the extent that they can not reach you as u repetativly rain degenerating hexes on them.
2. When either of the burdens end you gain 23 energy, allowing you to redcast the heavy conjure nightmare without having to worry.

both of theese hexes, one after the other gives u plenty of time to destry the target.

once the hexes are on continualy spam nightmare, phantasm and images of remourse, wich will cover up your slow down hexes and kill the enemy at the same time.

images of remourse is especialy ez to spam

This build works better for singleing out a wammo or touch trying to cap a base.
