Default Trapper Ranger

For Alliance Battles would a trapper ranger be any help? I wanted to try it out. Just carrying traps and spirits to lower cost of energy and to help skills regen faster so I can plant traps over and over and over again to proctect the shrines. Any ideas? I saw a video on the internet of a UW or FOW group doing this and I kinda wondered if it would work in AB as long as I was away from all the mobbing that is going on.

Actually a trapper with VIM is extremely helpful in cap groups, just blast the shrine and move on. There are also generally enough braindead assassins/warriors running around that you can completely screw over their gank attempts with randomly placed barbed or dust traps.

It works, but please, don't bring ranger spirits to do it. You don't know if you're going to be screwing up your own team by bringing them, and you're gonna be dropping out of range of them a lot too, that and there's plenty of time between fights to regenerate and recharge.

i use
spiked trap {e} --> random KD and cripple around the battlefeild is great
barbed trap --> always handy
dust trap --> die warrior shrine! die!
flame trap --> this is the worst so if any replace this one
vipers nest --. dont need much in BM just like the poison
troll unguent --> heal god damnit!
dodge --> run away someones coming!
whilrling defenses --> for charging into shirines

I personally like snare due to the low energy cost, use it in tight but commonly used paths to hinder enemy attempts at capping.

lol trapping in ab is fun. I remember once i trapped the whole monk shrine and i was alone, so these 2 warriors come sprinting at me and i was like

/taunt. Then when they get there the traps explode lol and they both dead.

Its not the most useful build to bring in ab if you want to win but sure is a hell lot of fun.
