Channeling is standard on ALL monks in HA for this reason
channeling.JPG
WoH/HP kind of turned into WoH/infuse since the 6v6 change because you can only bring 2 monks now.
I've never seen smite hex on any monk exept smiters. Holy Veil is better if you don't have a lot of points in smiting. I like to run Healing Whisper and Healing Touch instead of Orison and Kiss, but that's just me.
Never seen Divine Spirit on anything exept GoR/DS monks in RA.
Other than that, I think it's all right

Thomas, that WoH healing is the build I use most, and the smite hex is there because I like it for hex removal, but I'll change my inspired hex for it, the recharge of inspired is way too long IMO.

And thanks for the rest of the tips ^^

Kabale

Why heal party? Witht he current metagame: a lot of damage to a single person it's no good. Furthermore the energy cost is way too high, I mean 15 energy ffs, 2 sec casting time. I can have a WoH and orison in the same time, and I'd need 5 less energy+ heal more.

I'd put Healing Seed on that RC monk also. It's not like it's a spamming spell for Gift to cause too much of a problem. I'd also add Mend Ailment for condition removal on yourself, mostly for deep wounds and if you're able, dazed from that stupid Broadhead arrow ranger that seems to have it out for me.

Personally , i Ran

Axe+ Charge hammer warriors
N/Mo (Hex's, with Seed and HP)
Me/Mo (Hex's, with Healing seed)
Rc Prot
Boon prot

Worked absolutly awesome, got to HoH (through every map on the way) and Wiped both opposing teams + theyre ghostlys, unfortulantly our hero got stuck in the floor, so we lost >.< (Much swearing ensured)

did it all without a single death

I tend to go with something like this...

Ranger degen based builds:
PS, RoF, Guardian, RC, PDrain, DrainE, Channeling, Boon
SB, GoH, Sig Devo, RoF, Channeling, BLight, Mend Ail, Purge Sig

Holding type builds:
PS, GoH, Sig Devo, RoF, Sig Humil, BLight, Mend Ail, Channeling
SB, GoH, Sig Devo, RoF, PDrain, RC, Guardian, Channeling

You can run some pretty wacky things in 6v6 HA though...I remember back during the double fame event I was running Mantra of Flame and it was pretty ridiculous.

I also have some beef with the WoH/infuse slot. It's too sensitive, meaning that a good blackout/gale tandum can simply refute all of a build's healing power, which would lead to a swift loss.

I got all respect for you Kirsty, but have you ever been in a situation where you had to spam both orison and kiss? I realize the ideal WoH is a channeling machine, but I think there is raw healing power missing there. I'd personally suggest heal other over kiss, since it saves lives. Even when your WoH is PDed, diversioned, or humilified.

Just because they are in iA doesn't mean they are god, or they are always right. Soz.

Even if there aren't "good" spikes out there, like a bspike or rspike running around doesn't mean teams still can't coordinate a mini spike. Like war adren spikes, or ele and wars spiking together. Starburst groups are out there as well. So no, infuse might not be as cruicial as it was in 8v8, however it's still an insanely nice skill to have. Not to mention, if somebody is overextending you might not have the 1 sec for blight or something like that, and you need to infuse...just because they aren't spiking, doesn't mean you can't use infuse. Or you can use it on the ghostly when he's taking too much damage for your monks to handle. The skill is useful outside of spikes.

I'd use divine intervention with infuse BTW. To use on yourself when facing a warrior on your ass+the need to infuse, vs spikes, or naturally when someone is almost dead.

I'll never understand why everyone quotes vin. Sometimes it seems like he is the queen elizabeth of guild wars.

We're running 2Mo/A BL, works perfectly, never had any problems in 6v6 with this backline. But still monk backline depends on the whole build you're running. Our goes great with Mo/a.

Have you seen Peaches monk? 'nuff said.

I really like BC's backline that has a BLight and a Rt/Mo with infuse. It works ridiculously well against any degen build, impossible to lose with against spikes, and handles warrior/assassin pressure really well.

I'm not too sure about running Heal Party on a WoH monk with the 6vs6 update, especially with a 2 monk backline. Draw conditions is fine unless you have a smiter, in which case I would (as the WoH) take Drain Enchants and let the smiter run draw. I'm not a fan of Inspired Hex either, especially with the hex-heavy builds that started to reappear, I much prefer channeling, but that's just me. As for Heal Party's slot, I just take infuse.

I personally run:
WoH, Orison, Dwayna's, Seed, Infuse, Drain Enchant, Holy Veil, Channeling

But hey, I'm not iA

Healing Light > > > WoH

Infuse Health
Healing Light
Vigorous Spirit
Dwayna's Kiss
Orison
Healing Seed
Inspired Hex (I havent seen enough hex builds in 6v6 HA to warrant veil usage yet)
Channeling

Vigorous Spirit? That's an interesting choice.

Healing Light isn't really worth it unless you have a bonder or some other enchantments on everyone.

I don't like infuse on the WoH since he has to rely on the RC to heal him. And Veil is still good on the WoH since there are some Migraine teams out there.

My current backline:

WoH, Orison, Dwayna's Kiss, Seed, i-Hex, Veil, Party, Channeling / Power Drain

Guardian, Reversal, Prot Spirit, Infuse, RC, I-Hex, Aegis, Channeling / Power Drain

I wouldnt use Healing Light unless I had a bonder or more specifically (to the build my guild run in HA anyway ) a Tainted necro. Vig spirit works WONDERS against condition pressure and gives you a strong survivability and saves a lot of energy for your other monk, as well as being a nice cover enchant. Then again, the other monk in our build runs an RC boon prot, so take everything i say with a pinch of salt

Dwayna's Kiss + Healing Light are awesome in enchant heavy builds, even with 6v6.
