I'm sorry your guild is PvE based, but you choose to be in a PvE / PvP guild - For the most part which will never work at the higher levels. Guilds like this have their place - In GvG and TA. HA was never intended to be TA.

Also, LoL at being prepubescent sitting in our rooms all day long "Hoarding" HA! This reverts back to people who don't play alot complaining about not being able to find groups. HA is not casual, never will be, and if you want to play on a regular basis, you'd better start building your friends list or join a likeminded guild. All it takes is joining a district and being social with players. HA is a social network.
You've contricted yourself several times. Firstly you state every guild is welcome in HA, then you go on to say my guild is PVE only (when I said we have people who play PVE and others who like to PVP) and has its place in GVG and TA. Then you tell me you have no intention of locking other players out, yet and I quote you "HA is not casual, never will be and if you want to play on a regular basis etc, etc". You've instantly dismissed casual players and what they want and put me into that bracket. Your assuming that only hardcore players can do HA when everyone has the right to play there, whether they are any good at it or not is irrelevant. Also I'd like to add that I am not a casual player and that most people in my guild hold down a job and have time commitments, so can't be on all the time, thus getting 8 players together is a hard deal. Why should I leave my guild to play HA? They are my friends. If I want to play HA why shouldn't it be accesible to me? It shouldnt be just for those hardcore players and this is my point.

You sir, seem to have got it into your head that only those who are good at HA have the right to be there and its this elitist attitude that I hate.

Yes, but there isn't a lot of choking gas + seeking arrows now, which I'm very happy with. It actually takes a bit more coordination to cap the alters, just how it should be.

Someone brought up an interesting point about the new classes and their effect on an 8v8 team.

Who remembers the R/P IWAY spinoff? You know, the kind that could demolish teams in under a minute?

The D/Mo teams? They were abused as hell.

Infact the only teams I ran into those days (PvP preview) were IWAY, R/P Pack hunter teams, D/Mo spike teams and that was it.

6 players means you won't be able to get away with that as your damage output is lowered.

This is why I think Anet made the changes and with the greater number of classes the number of possible builds hasn't decreased. However I do believe the changes are postive for those who aren't hardcore PvP'ers.

haha lol, you mean you haven't seen War Friends hold before with the exact same build?

They stole HoH from us a few months ago with 8 touchers, and then held against two IWAY teams.

Exactly, but you can't call IWAYers and bloodspikers fast learners, can you?

Read this again, or twice, or even three times, then tell me how much sense it made to you...

I'll give you a hint...NONE

NICE F*CK UP ANET.
because a woh, infuser, and rc were the height of ingenious monking? Maybe because with the decreased team size, HA now values EFFICIENCY?

A pain, I suppose, if you were into that sort of thing. All I know is, maybe now more people will learn to monk instead of wohing people and making red bars go up.

I had to register here and say something after reading Phasola's posts.

Leave your high school chess club attitude at the door...tu as fais le con assez bien deja.

A-net has made a ton of experiments so far, remember the AoE change, the constant boosts and weakening of classes and skills? Guild wars was doomed wasn't it?

Think about experiments again...do you actually think anet can predict all possible outcomes of any change? Heck no. Before you act like you know god all everything, let things settle. Take a step back, observe for a month. Then you can make chess club generalizations that don't sound like half-baked knee jerk reactions.

Finally, This HA thing is an experiement, and if the elite can handle it...go snipe beginners in Call of Duty or somewhere else. A new elite will emerge, with the same narrow view of their sport vis-a-vis other players and the programers. Disgruntled, let your wallet do the talking. Don't bitch if you're not ready to walk.

Altar matches about keeping your ghostly alive. The rest is simply keeping it alive if they need morale.
