nope coz during the 6vs6 double fame event, i saw a blood spike team rolled Fishmonger's 1 war - 2 apply/melandru's ranger degen pressure team in dark chambers.

so skilled blood spike will still survive.

The question should be changed up. Will blood spike die, or will PUG bspike die.

Only a good team will be able to win with it, like tom said. PUG groups, mediocre guild groups and such won't be able to do nearly as well as they could before.

tbh, there's only a few guilds I wouldn't be surprised by them holding. DeeR mainly because they are the kings of counting to 3. They will continue to play this, and continue to play it well. It's what they do. However, a lot of other guilds won't be able to run it like they could before.

I don't think 1 example during a preview event means much...

We beat a couple of good guilds with Blood Spike then too, but we also fought teams we couldn't do jack against (like a mass hex build with interrupts... we couldn't do anything against that, you can't pack enough hex removal and can't straight kill if they interrupt one guy and they easily save spikes).

But the main reason why i expect BSpike to die is because there is some perfect spikes working with 3-4 players that leave you room for more utility/defense. So why would you do a bad version of bspike when you can actually switch to something better suited for 6v6? Good guilds will find better builds, and bad guilds/pugs will drop bspike because they won't manage to pull it off

there's your spike. granted even now a half-decent team will beat the run of the mill pug bspike with 7 bspikers, just because the counters to bspike are so well known that you have to have not played gw for the past couple of months NOT to know how to beat it. However some teams will still run it, maybe even there will still remain a couple dedicated bspike guilds (like MATH after the iway nerf) but only the best of the best will be able to win with it now.

huh you must have gotten a bad group as by b-spike group was able to hold halls 10 times (not all con.)

mod the build as you don't always have to folllow the build that everyone else uses

Agree our mostly unraked pug steamrolled a top 30 guild running b spike. They can't handle preasure and once you kill one or 2 off they have no chance.

#1 : most teams dont bring an infuser
#2 : they spike random people in altar maps

you see it around still...and organized groups seem to make it work

one thing is definitely for sure though...they are not going to be as common as they used to be.

Since the 6v6 nerf WoH/infuse and a RC/GoH to heal the infuser are becoming common.

I Bspike with 1 N/Me, 4 N/Mo's and 1 N/R and we win halls pretty much everytime we play. It helps that we have the same core group that we had in 8v8. Even with 1 interrupt, you can spike down a target quite easily. Biggest problem are ghostly heroes, they have much more health than regular players, they can't be clean spiked.

Blood Spike didn't impress me much when it was 8v8 tbh, and with 6v6, it of course takes a blow.

Blood Spike will have to realise that there is a crapload of interrupts on most teams now, and their chances of getting a good run have greatly been diminished. Ranger interrupts, PD mesmers and the leet AI interrupts of the Ghostly Hero are quite a threat to a build like Bloodspike

it's definitely harder, and requires a great communication. It's not just C, Ctrl+space, 3,2,1 spike anymore.
