1. Comparing hammers and sthyces will yeild nothing productive. Sthyces may have higher crits and possibly spike more often, but the reason for hammers' popularity are the KD's combo. No other weapon can keep someone disabled as long as a solid hammer war combo.
2. Dervishes and Sins seem to me like specialized warriors. Warriors are by far the most versatile. This versatility is what makes them popular, so don't expect them to go extinict any time soon.
3. Paragons (I think) were designed as support characters. They are nothing like warriors.

OK. This discussion has convinced me that Paragons and Warriors do not in any way fullfill the same function. Sins are perceived to be very niche players, although maybe very good at certain jobs. Everyone thinks that Warriors are more flexible than Dervishes. I have a new question now...comparing the uses of Dervishes and Warriors. But I think I will start it in a new thread.
