Question Way?

Inquiry: Why is it that all non-balanced HA groups end with 'way'? I was always under the impression that the suffix way ment to represent a build that has a lack of actual healers, like IWAY and VIMWAY. Or is it just some magical multi-use three letter word at the end of every flavor of the month HA build and then some?

I got it. Balancedway. Shockaxeway. Eviserway. I-still-use-boon/protway. Flavorofthemonthway. How about we throw 'way' at the end of every single build in Guild Wars like frantic retards! Better yet...

Can somebody explain this to me in a clear and collective way why people toss 'way' at the end of every HA build ever?

well... i'm not a real PvP person but i think it started from IWAY...
7 warriors with pets and a trapper, and word IWAY comes from the skill that warriors used... "i will avenge you". People thought that it was the easy way to get fame and it required no skill to run... so whenever people see someone running something like that (easy no skill run build) they add the word WAY to the end of the build's name, like VIMWAY (Victory is mine WAY)...

correct me if i'm wrong

EDIT: removed word elite... ty ^^

It's because it seems that uncreative fools are always the ones who come up with trendy names. And yes, it originally started with IWAY.

You're pretty much correct Cola, except "I Will Avenge You!" is not an elite shout. People usually just add the suffix "way" to builds that have a large amount of a single character. Like "thumpway", or "vimway", etc.

Well, obviously it started with IWAY, but when VIM became popular they did trappers and 2 warriors i believe. But then VIM transformed into 4 Trapper 4 Iway warriors, so it makes sense that they call it VIMWAY. I havent really seen any other "ways" other then hero"way"

I start a petition to make it VIMStyle, Herostyle.

Anything that dominates the pug HA metagame which reflects the months of IWAY dominance is considered a "Way" build. It is a historical allusion which has become standard jargon.

like 'balanceway'?

It started with IWAY, then came VIMWAY (makes sense since they use 3 iway wars), then someone made a joke, and named his team 'henchway'......Now people continue that joke to the point where it's everything exept funny....

well this sux imo.
It comes from skill iway and then someone quite retarded started to call groups with -way on the end.
i hate it tbh.

balanced is balanced not some RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing balancedway. Or hero team is hero tem not heroway... (except if they run iway on heroes ^^).
retards ftl.

most pointless thread award goes to....

Seriously why do u care? As far as I know any kind of pressure gimmick build that uses multiple chars from the same proffesion to apply damage is called -way. IWAY, Vimway, thumpway, heroway (which is generally searing flames eles).
As for 'balanceway', no1 says that.

way to go!

im just glad spikes dont end with way lol. dualsmiteway, bsway, rangerspikeway, omigosh o_o and balancedway would probably be the most idiotic thing ever lol

suppose it just sounds nice, is obvious what the build consists of, and is short?

Nah, sry.
Henchway, pokeway, and others "ways" predate VIMWAY. Just, VIMWAY was the only one that actually made sense.
