Well, I understand that we're talking about the "new" direction.

Nonetheless, I'm not sure if I'd have picked distortion if only the expertise nerf occured, or if neither have, in fact.

On the similar line, dash, which I ran before the nerf, no longer works, and neither does dark escape, due to energy cost and the unreusability. The latter does not mesh well with the concept of Cripshot, while the former is no longer spammable.

Honestly, I loved distortion, obviously, but I've come into terms with the fact that it's a past thing. Same thing with armor switching and having 2 sup runes and inventory up at all times.

If you run R/D, you can use Sandy Grip with Harrier's Grasp, I guess, which gives you blind, poison, and cripple at the same time. You only cripple fleeing foes, but that's easy when you've got 1/2 activation. You mainly need to cripple foes that run anyway, and if you watch when they run, savage shot will do the trick. Haven't actually tested it though.

Called Shot definitely works great for Ebon Dust or Grenth's Grasp. But running Ebon Dust + Harrier's Grasp on a ranger might end up really energy intensive to keep up while making you spread points a LOT.

If you don't care about the blind too much, Grenth's Grasp is a really good replacement to Cripshot and saves you a lot of energy in the end. And the enchants don't really conflict with Natural Strike because with the recharge on that you can easily reactivate your enchants while its down.

Would also be possible to use Harrier's Grasp and just use your elite for something else. Magebane Shot, Practiced Shot (emanagement), Poison Arrow + Barbed for preparation, etc.

But R/A has Sig of Malice which is pretty priceless imo. Depends on what role you want i guess.
