Default Modded RaO

http://gwshack.us/3176

Ok pretty standard RaO build.
Except offcourse for the Swiss knife mesmer.

SF+RaO are pretty common now.

For raping SF the mesmer casts Xinrae's weapon on the ghostly or anyone under fire, those 8 secs should take out at least glowing gaze+SF.

For RaO, the 2 visages, to block out any energy+adrenal.

Pdrain+Leech for interupt+emanagement. And blackout to disrupt ghostly hero even w/ Ward of Stabillity and song of concentration.

Can you black out the ghostly?

It seems like this wants to be a holding build, but that 'swiss army mesmer' isn't going to have any real uses on an altar map. The mesmer is the only thing in this build I'm unsure about, the rest is all standard holding stuff.

I'd drop bestial mauling off of both of your RaO's because of how often your pets will die in HA. Bestial is fantastic in TA, but in HA there's just so much AoE damage going on. I'd sub in distracting blow, or if you're going for holding fertile season. And then symbiosis on the other ranger.

You just put a mes into fotm. Congrats.
Blackout works on ghost if there are 5 ppl blacking him out at the same time.

@Shiz,

Don't you mean on a relic map?

Black out the ghostly to stop him from capping, disrupt him, cast Xinrae's on your ghostly, + the 2 visages, that is if the ghostly is being attacked. Any spam-spellcasting/melee builds can be shutdown this way.

Anyway, for relic maps, you could switch out Pdrain with imagine burden or Kitah's burden.

@Phasola

Well offcourse the mesmer can be in any build.

And I modded the build so that the monks now have blackout as well.

-edit-

FS on the wars.

Why Frenzy on the thumper? He can keep up RaO? (20s recharge, 20s duration.) If you really want to hold, you can better put in another Fertile, because Fertile is killed way too fast.

No no no...
cookie cutter monk builds > monks with blackout.
Seriously I can see this come in handy in some rare situations, but shutting urself (as a monk) for 5 seconds is generally a bad idea no matter what.

Ok. FS on both the wars, blackout away from the monks, moved drain enchant from the mes to the heal party monk (you'll be Xinraeing the SF's anyway so Mantra doesn't have that much of a use.).
And replaced Drainenchant with imagined burden for relic run maps.

Not sure why you said "Don't you mean relic runs?" to me.

To be honest, you don't really need anything like imagined for relic maps. You'll have one thumper running the relics, and the other thumper can just kd their runner then body block him. Imagened is a waste of a slot IMO.

Well first of all you said altar maps. Now how can it not be handy to shut down a lot of, if not all, damage to your ghost and any other members of your team thus allowing easier holding. Oha nd you can blackout the ghostly or disrupt him with leech signet.

Now for relic run maps, this mesmer would serve hardly any purpose(w/o burden that is), so I figured you meant that.

With Imaginary: you can Burden the runner to make him slower, and bodyblocking more easy, or you can burden an opposing bodyblocker to stop him from blocking.

So quite handy on relic maps. Oh and you can Burden the opposing ghostly if that ghosly is moving up to the altar, or you can burden an opposing RaO thumper/any kind of melee fighter, thus making him less effective (kiting).

IMO absolutely not a waste of skill.

I understand that it makes the body blocking EASIER, but it's not needed. Every relic run I've ever played on, it's just kd then body blocking. It's all that's really needed. Sure it'll be easier to body block with imagined, but what use is that skill outside of relic runs? There are better utility skills to switch in.

Such as?

-edit-

Oh and you say it's easy to bodyblock, that doesn't mean only easy for you, but for the opponent as well. And if it isn't easy, why not take this skill? So either way it comes in handy IMO.

Your Paragon/Warrior is using Mesmer skills.

It is good to blackout the monks, but that is not my point.

It says P/W right? SoH is not a warrior skill, so change the secondary to Mesmer
