I completely agree. why do people in ha and here have to be so negative? so what if people want to run vimway or dual smite? it's all they can do and if they can't do it really really really well then it's free fame for you. =). just go with it and enjoy the game...dont waste your time bashing cause your the only one getting annoyed while others are enjoying gw. have fun it's just a game...nothing to get all worked up over.

- Smite balls and balls in general, zomg give me a break.
- BAD condition builds. Many people are starting 2 get bored of playing against the exact same build, usually run by bad players. The better ones arent looked down upon as much as the horrible pugs.
Here, you said it dude...all builds are noob. Though, you forgot to mention balanced: they have solution for everything but they still lose from everyone else.

loooool
Well to go back on topic, people will never accept your build if you beat them with it, regardless of whether it requires any skill or not.
Generally the builds that are not accepted are the fame farming ones that require little skill and loads of time.

Play whatever build you want. Guildwars gives the same skills to everyone to use and make what you want. Don't be bothered by people that call you a noob if you beat them in 1:30. They are just furious you beat them and want to discourage you from running your successful build, so you don't beat them again.

I'd like to understand a few notions of vocabulary as used today because it seems my understanding is slightly misplaced

Nub or noob : it was my understanding this term was applied to someone who showed consistant bad behaviour and an inability to learn from his mistakes. A nub or noob build would then be a build that proves to show the same flaws and an inability to win and this in a consistent way which cannot be the case if you lose against it or if the build improves through rebuilding after a loss is occured.

Obviously this definition is wrong somewhere as builds that have proven to be efficient in some of their forms have been treated of nub/noob.

Scrub : my understanding for this one was that it qualified someone who claimed to be there for the win yet found the use of some methods accepted by the game mechanisms to be bad form and as such refused to use them.

Obviously this definition is wrong too since vimway has been qualified of scrub and yet they do not put any limitations i know of on themselves.

So if someone could please post the current definitions of both words, it is not that I like to use them but I like to understand what I read even if it is not proper english.

Concerning builds I'm of the opinion that if you have fun playing them then they have a right to be I might qualify some of more easy to master than others but then again it is a question of affinity.

Lol. I would have thought that the OP would have learnt by now that in HA everything is ghay, when your team is winning. And the losers will always be happpy to tell you that. Mind you I can across a group of poor winners the other day too, while a guildy and I were testing a build with henchie.

Henchway is not free fame in HOH since they fail at interrupting the enemy ghost for you. :\

Read Squidget's post, it's the third one down. Squidget doesn't say spiking is nub, but I will. And my guild farmed champ points all last season with obs flame spike, so I speak with experience.
That post is relating to GvG, not HA. You don't want to run spike in GvG because it is inflexible and can be fairly easily outplayed by smart opponents, in HA that does not matter. A lot of the better builds for HA are (were?) spike, in terms of holding power and efficiency/speed in cutting through other teams.

As for what is acceptable? Whatever wins, and has the ability to hold. Ignore people that call builds like this "lame" or "cheap", because they are simply clueless scrubs.

As far as I'm concerned, bring on the henchway and ViM teams. Too bad the shittier teams get, the less fame is going to mean. Recently, unless we get a fluke, the first three maps are pretty much complete wipes. :/

Exactly, so tired of lack of competition in HA.

So ... if I think that running bspike is lame that makes me a scrub? Okay ... if I'm such a scrub, how come the team I was in flawlessed O Azn O (yes, he was running bspike) a couple days ago with me monking? Talk about clueless ... (btw, I'm not trying to start a flamewar with you JR, I just don't agree with you on that)

I guess ... when you're struggling to win, any win is fullfilling.

No build will be seen as acceptable in the eyes of everyone, something always is gimmicky or FoTM or imba. etc. etc.

Whining is just part of PvP.
