In an ideal world I would agree with you that all those skills should be useful.
In guildwars there are often bad skills, and when it comes to elites there are a whole hell of a lot more bad or mediocre ones then wtfomgbbq ones.

Actually, Spirits Strength (Ritualist elite) makes for some sickeningly powerful, blind-immune single spikes in arena and HA environment. Probably highest solo-spike currently comes from that.

in GvG though its not useful.

It's actually pretty good. We ran a Rangerspike in GVG some time ago. 3 Spikers and 2 thumpers (should've taken something other than thumpers tbh). You need only 2 Spirit's strength spikers to just kill a target, it's not very hard at all with 3.

I would quote programs quote...but that obviously doesn't work. By putting the comment that EProd is a 5/5 and EPrism is a 3/5 it implies they are equivalent. Really if anything EPrism (Post bug) should be even less. It can produce more energy, but it requires constant casting of a 2 second cast. For a main group ele, if it gets interrupted, you lose a lot of energy. For a runner, stopping for a two second cast is unfeasible. The main reason EPrism is bad though, it requires 12 energy storage. Rating elites often isn't about the elite itself, but what you are sacrificing for it. 2 second casts and raising energy storage from 8-9 to 12 (on a character with likely a large stat spread already) doesn't cut it.

Visions of regret isn't that bad, but the recharge stinks and current meta isn't good for it. Versus balanced pressure, they will likely have a paragon. Since you are likely hex pressure, you have to shut him down. Because of the recharge visions can only be maintained on one player, might as well have Vocal. Versus euroway, the only adren skill on a warrior is dismember, might as well have anything else. Versus thumpers with taint/searing, it still isn't as good as SS or Victor (both of which work on monks as well). So really unless the meta changes and the recharge is reduced, 1/5.

I think your underestimating Ebon Dust Aura linebackers and Grenths Grasp rangers. The later will become more prevalent as Aegis chains start to fade away. Burning Arrow is another that is often overlooked because Paragons apply burning so easily already (and aegis monks as mentioned). Really the only place it is strong is on a gank. At 10ish spec, it easily does 100+ damage. I think its 5/5, but atm in gvg, 3/5 is probably a good measure

I agree on prism, it seems really good but in practice prodigy is just more flexible / better.

Ebon dust is really really annoying (ie good) as a linebacker. I missed it going back over.

Grenth's grasp is decent but harriers grasp is almost as good and non-elite.

Burning arrow is nuts @ ~14 marks

I share the same view as JR and Tommy regarding GoL, Divert Hexes and ZB.

GoL/Infuse + Divert Hexes with a midline with draw imo is an great backline. GoL really in that sort of backline it makes up for the healing power gone from the divert monk. And because of this combo I think it out preforms Divert + RC. For some reason I have never liked RC as an elite. As conditions are so easly removed with non elite skills in easy areas to fill in gvg builds. You have things like Extinguish and Draw Conditions. Hexes are harder to remove and hamper a build as a whole a lot more. And in the current meta hexes are a lot more popular.

I see some people are confused with Dismiss Conditions, I dont think it comes anywhere near mend condtion. But to run it on a Divert monk its great. Its an easy self heal. Althought it become pricey its there when you need it and its a usefull skill for other things. I see it usefulls for splits, where if you were going to be taking damage you would prot yourself anyway. Can make that build a little more versatile.

Theres nothing better thou casting a 1/4 healing spell and being able to kite like a butterfly. I do like that in gvg. Even when you get a infuse, hit f then GoL yourself.

ZB another i reason I dont like it, to easy to over heal

In other words, you missed all of the good skills on first pass, and on the second pass as well.

Why bother?

This is one reason i hate the skill. I was in ha and we ran into a monk with this + kinetic armor and it was extremely annoying since we had no enchant removal with us... And the only damage we had was a RaO thumper and Wa/El with wards.(well he had eviscerate and a few things also)

Running the fotm 2 paragon ha build you will find a lot of things you can't kill imo.

Im stille able to pressure/outpressure teams holding alters/hoh already. Just depends on what damage dealing im running. Ive ran 2 shadow prison sins with good success. Also to people who use RaO thumpers i suggest using Beastial mauling while splitting ur dmg on monks with good communication u can get daze on both at the same time.

So true. That's why I never run it anymore. Battles take ages!

Hm, I've never managed to outpressure them in the limited amount of time you have. regular SF teams are hard enough, new and improved SF teams (all /Mo with heal area, ball up inside WaM and WaH) get harder. The only offense you have is 2 thumpers. On the other hand, the only offense they have is 2 SF's and a sandstorm (4 dmg ftl). Most battles with this build are decided by who ragequits first.

Steady Stance is awesome with Desperation and Drunken Blow.

And why rate Rampage so low? IMO, the energy is there so that only a Ranger can use it efficiently with their Expertise (makes it impractical for Warriors, but awesome on a Thump).

Sigh, grenth is one of the few skills that really annoys me. RoF doesn't even trigger. It is basically anet saying you have to run a heal monk. Even if you did tbh, the crits of a dervish are so high (and if the other team just pain trains all their melee with it anyways) that healing just isn't enough.
