Default Whats Wrong with SOMW?

Hey,
i noticed that, if i wanne get a SOMW spike up some people in HA say that it is a noob build...==> "You got past UW with that noob build?" or "Omg thats just the worst noob build i ever saw" etc.
that isnt true at all cause, if you dont have a good leader, good coordination and a good setup this build doenst even get past the zaishen
even the setup of enchantments have to be done good, cause otherwise against enchantment removal the most needed enchants got down first

thats why i wanne ask, please dont call SOMW a noob build, (why you call it that way?!)

its hard to run with pugs and requires good leading and build

and 1 skill is enough to counter the whole build.

True, as sad as it is.
People used to call iway noob, used to call bloodspike noob, used to call vimway noob, used to call SB/RI noob, used to even call balanced noob ("OMFG noob ballancway!1")
People now call Searing Flames noob, they call holding builds noob, and appearantly they also call SOMW noob.
Ignore them, and turn off local chat in combat. This will withhold you the few times someone actually says 'gg' after being defeated, but it also saves you from a lot of retarded comments.

people will call SOMW "noob" because they're annoyed by it, and for good reason. If a build doesn't have much enchantment removal (and by "much" I mean "tons") then SOMW will be very difficult to kill, if played by a half-decent team. If that build also has good monks, and at least a little bit of damage mitigation (through interuption, generally) then SOMW will never get any kills. It requires a single spike every 20 seconds for ALL of its pressure, and if that spike fails, the build fails, period. It becomes very frustrating for a good balanced/pressure build going against it because even if they have a moderate number of enchant removals and a lot of damage, they'll still be hard pressed to pressure out the SOMW group. They'll also never take deaths, since the spike is easily interupted (song of concentration is easily interupted as well...) so it ends up being a stalemate.

This forces balanced builds to bring an insane amount of mass enchantment removal, in the form of grenth dervish, gaze of contempt, glyph/shatter/drain, profane, or several other options. Being forced to unbalance a balanced build in this way simply to counter one build is annoying at best.

The reason people called these builds "noob" is because they require almost no skill at all to run effectively. They're known in higher circles as "noob-farming" builds, because they'll beat bad teams very quickly. The problem with these builds is that they're so unbalanced that any team that knows their obvious counters will be able to exploit them fully, and beat them without any problem. Most of the time these builds don't directly force a change in the balanced metagame to defeat them, but with paragrief builds and somw builds they do.

all builds are noob. making a build "not noob" is up to the players.

This is the BUILD section, not the "I want to whine because people are calling me a noob." section.
