If you think someone rage quitted in our game, you need to learn to play guild wars because you obviously can't judge how a game is going.

An err7 is not a provider problem.
Our guy that dropped from the match didn't get disconnected from vent nor IRC. It was just guild wars.

But you're clearly a troll anyway, not much use arguing.

Yeah except Tag was playing against PnH and not Cel and they were dominating the game and not losing. So yeah, you're basically right except whatever the opposite of that is.

I dont understand your problem tava, no-one is saying Cel only came on top because of the error 7's, just saying part of the reason is that unfortunate event. None of us can say for sure who would have won without them, so lets just drop the subject, ok?

Cel played really well, suprised a lot of people with their performance and their a bunch of nice guys from what I can tell so no need to troll.

Sounds like they beat you with smart play, otherwise known as "being better".

it was the first game in a playoff for us too, if you thing your guys were nervous facing a r32 guild you should see our guys nervous facing a r3 guild
we guys were winning in moral, but lost due to mistakes on VoD like the paragon using angelic bond on the bodyguard and dying without even being hit, and also you didnt agroo our npcs.... not to mention that we got a moral boost right before VoD.
rez signets recharged + npcs at VoD >> your moral advantage.

the only problem with this win was that it f***ed my predictions....^^

What exactly can they do to them? Neither of them got even remotely close to placing.

I just stated why we lost, you kept a cool head at vod we didn't and grats for that. Angelic bond was nice on bodyguard since it kept the bodyguard alive which is more important then a paragon since we can always res him but not the bodyguard. When you got a moral boost you got killed and used atleast 2-3 signets before retreated. We messed up at vod, like you said we didnt manipulate your npcs cause we all went back cause some1 yelled you are ganking. Stuff like that wouldn't happen in a normal game but in first game in playoffs it does. You were the better guidl and grats rof win, shame you didn't win more so we could get to rank 8

aNc vs QQ round 1 : Blinding Surge > Prepared Shot/Concussion Shot.

I think it pretty sums it all.

Very impressive play by Tag. ICE didn't stand a chance.

I merged another thread into this one simply to keep the board uncluttered. This thread is for all discussion and speculation and jubilation (or lamentation) about the tournament and its progress.

In the first game, not really no.

We didn't really know what to expect going in, so we thought we would hedge our bets and run an 8v8 build on an 8v8 map. The map turned out to be the one they preffered anyway, as it gave us very little space to spread out and avoid the Dervish AoE and kite.

We also went into the first game with two Warriors, which proved to be a pretty crippling mistake - given the Aegis and Blinding Surge. It was switching to the three Mesmer variation in the second game that allowed us to get the kills that we did.

Also a large problem in the first game was underrating their build, and getting more and more frustrated as pressure on us mounted and we couldn't get kills. It still surprises me how they had so much pressure - i'll probably observe that match a few times. However, at this point we had our LoD runner going, so being down on that really hurt us also.

In game two we pulled back over the bridge in to the large open area (Jade Isle again, their choice this time), and had our runner stay with us. In this position we were able to hold pretty solidly untill VoD - but it gave them positioning advantage over us, which proved to be too much to fight through.

We had chances though, in game two we almost got a base res on one of their Monks at VoD - but we someone missed the Hard Res that just caught him (bit sketchy on the details of this, at this point I was hammering my keyboard trying to keep people alive). There is a lot of 'what if's'; what if we had switched to their build for round 2, what if we had gone in with 5 Searing Flame Eles, what if we had gone split in round one instead of spike?

At the end of the day, they played better and had a stronger build. It would sound like a lame excuse to say that I think that build is a bit stronger than it should be, but I will anyway. That aside they deserved the wins, and they were good but frustrating games.
