I guess europe doesnt have many good players, going around in TA seen many rank 5 gladiators, and the usuall rank 2,3,4, not many 1's

I think the problem is the intrest in TA is too low for guilds to decide they will continue on with it.
Plus.... the gimmick builds, flavors, 4 toucher teams vs balanced, not very fun to play against, doesnt do much but get you to say,"Wow TA sucks, lets go tomb for a bit"

He has ALOT. He leaves his pc on while he sleeps, he eats and drinks (beer mostly>__>) while on gw. He'll be away for a few weeks in NYC on buisness, so hopefully that'll give him stuff to do other then GW xD <3 Unko :')

I think I was with yesitsrob in those games, and we pretty much grabbed 4 people off our friends list and started playing for the hell of it. I was probably a bit hung over also, and it was about 5am for yesitsbritishrob. I think that, more than anything else, shows that TA is a crapshoot unless you're facing a considerably inferior team (which admittedly happens quite often). Most matches last a very short time, and you hardly have the time or space to adjust strategies (or even form them) to make up for build differences. You just get in there and lock horns with the other team, someone starts dying first and it's gg. That's why I doubt TA will become anything more than a place to do some quick scrimmages and farm some faction.

Believe it or not there is sort of a "primetime" for TA when most of the guild groups play. If you play really late at night most of the time all you will find are horrible pug groups that you can slaughter in under a minute. And I think it way more than something to farm faction...considering ive been maxed for like 6 months and I still love it when there arent enough people on to GvG. Yeah sadly 85% (a very generous estimate, its probably higher...) of the people you see in TA think mending wammos or putting rebirth on there monk, or touch rangers, are good ideas. But when you play while a good team is playing for example since everybody has RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOd there name so much already, when you know a guild like Eat or TA is playing theres a good chance you're going to fight them soon because of the speed they and yours (if you're in a good group) blaze through the other teams. Its very exciting playing a team you know you are going to have to play your best to beat. Who cares about faction :P.

OMG what the heck is that junk in my post lol. I didnt type that random caps lock junk in there...I guess its some sort of censor? But I think its funny so I'm gonna leave it in there...

The reason why we rarely TA is simple: In 95% of the matches you just overrun your opponents and have pretty dull matches. Maybe a matching system like in GvG, where you only play against equally skilled people would solve this, but I doubt there are even enough players who would participate.

I was also with yesitsrob in those matches against [Eat]. I was playing the interupt ranger. I did notice the change in tactics in the second match and it was more difficult stopping the humility mesmer with the added pressure and the hexes staying on me.

We usually play a grab and go TA when we are not GvGing but still roll over the majority of the teams we face. The games we had against [Eat] were challenging and are the types of games I like playing.

TA is undoubtedly extremely easy to win matches, you will always land vs a good group eventually (odds of being paired up against a good group tend to be 1/10 during usa primetime and 1/20 at "nub" hour)

And sticking to the original purpose of this thread, our guild has a large european/american divide, so we paly in internation quite often. Guilds we do land against from europe tend to be Bi and CdZ (we cant exactly say theyre dominating TA though [seeing as we dont know the level of compitition in europe >__>] , but they tend to have a guild group running almost as often as EaT does on american servers) Bi have proved a challenge a few times, but i assume NR isnt very popular on european servers, as they struggle at besting it. As for CdZ, we've never had problems against them, yet we land against them all the time...

Well, seems like things have sure changed over the past month or two.

It's tough to say who's really dominating TA right now.

TA broke up, and is now We Came From [RA] or We Come From [RA], I forget. Though they do have a nice portion of the original roster, there are a few missing. And tbh I haven't seen them that much in TA lately.

RezQ is there a lot, but I think that's only because I see Unko there all the time.

FamE has died off.

I haven't seen Eat there in a long while.

Something I have seen, is MATH. They are starting to get more and more into TA. J Z Contemplate (something like that) is a r5 glad, I know I see Syra (tomcruisejr) there a bit. I wouldn't say they are dominating it, but they are one of the more active guilds now a days.

Zomg, Shiz if you didn't know [TA] is still around! It's just that I'm the leader, and sole member... :P

I was under the impression that most of the members left for "Ta Lives In [RA]" and not any of the guilds you have mentioned, but maybe I'm wrong.

ll join TA with you . We can rebuild!

But yeah, it's called one of the things I named. I actually saw them hold halls once under that name. And then I talked to some of the guys that I knew, and they told me the new name. Also, I looked it up and they're on the ladder. Granted they're like r500+ it is the name they use nowadays.

Unconfirmed (as I can't recall ever playing them): [Ae], [DTS], [DPS]
Was in [RezQ] for a few days, good players bad attitude. I think they all got like R3-R6 Gladiator, well atleast that's what they had when I was with them..

RezQ seems like it's got nice people. I haven't spoken to all of them obviously, but the few that I have are very nice. I speak to Unko whenever I see him, and he's one of the nicest guys in GW.

And remmeh what's up with FamE lately? Don't even see them on the ladder, so you guys aren't gvging. Haven't seen you hold halls or anything, and don't really see anybody in TA ever. Inactivity ftl?

aye,

we have severely lost interest in TA. Occasionally a few of us go back here and there, I only need 18 more points for conquering glad, so I'll be in there earning a point here and there until I'm conquering, and then you probably won't see much more of me in TA (which will make some people happy As for Divine, he's taken a hiatus from GW altogether, and other former TA core players from eat are addicted to HA now such as sno.

We are actually trying to revitalize our core gvg squad as RL business has really hurt our ability to form a group for scheduled GvG times

during the past week that I did come back to play, it was the same old crappy ass teams. The only one worth mentioning was RA, other than that, it was a joke. Too bad

It's a shame that Eat is losing interest, but I can't say I didn't see it coming. Eat is full of good players, and it's not very surprising to hear they've moved on to HA. Fame can be addicting.

Quite sad to see all the good TA guilds slowly either falling apart or simply getting bored with TA. They really should do something to make it more...competitive, more worthwhile. I love playing in a 4v4 setting, but there's becoming fewer and fewer reasons to play. Maybe if I was in a big guild like Eat or RezQ I would join them simply to be an addition in the TA part of the game for the guild. I would play just to show the guild still was active and alive. My guild is more of a tombs guild as well, so it's a bit upsetting that I don't get to TA nearly as often as I used to.

Now a days it seems like the only people in TA are wammos and SS's. I just wish the big guilds would come back

It's a shame to hear that, and it's even worse because you're a member. I still see Unko in TA, and with him he'll usually have three friends but rarely do I see RezQ members without Unko around.

I think every big time guild should have people for every area of pvp. Should have people that do TA, people that do HA, and people that <3 gvg's. The guilds would be x15 more recognizeable, and it would leave more room in big time guilds for people that are very good at a certain arena/area. That way guilds will always be active because there will always be somebody somewhere dominating with the tag.

Maybe that's just my opinion, but I think that's a good idea.

With the rumor of the new 6v6 arena (in which you can earn fame) coming with Nightfall, rest assured that Eat will be a driving force again. TA simply doesn't provide the competition as PvP with rewards, once I reached UAX it wasn't really worth it to me as GvG and HA are so much more challenging and rewarding. Though 8v8 HA is much harder to get into than all other forms of pvp, once you know the right people it's a ton of fun, as you can easily get into good groups on a consistant basis, and fame comes quick, as well as sigils.

I heard there was going to be a 6v6 arena as well, but I wasn't aware you could win fame. That's pretty cool, though I wouldn't hate it if it rewarded you with something else besides fame, and let us start getting our ranks up again giving people like me that have been playing for awhile but not nearly as long as a lot of the beta players a chance to rise up in the ranks.

And basically HA is worthless unless you have a good friendslist/guild. It's so hard to find a group, let alone a good group. Luckily for me, my guild is a tombs guild so I don't really have that problem.
