Default Idk ....

I'm really not sure if I prefer LOD/Infuse or ZB/Infuse .... I am just so torn over it at the moment. Our other monk has tried a few things lately and he's just still really comfortable with blight. I really just don't know, the game is all over the place lately.

O.O

I can't run anything but Mo/W atm because I am so tired of sitting half the match on my ass Yay knockdowns... Wild blow so owns me :> heh, where's my paragon.... ?

YAA monk.... how does that deal with a shadowstepping (i.e. Shadow Prison) sin (or war) that can choose a bit from where he shadowsteps?
A melandru dervish (i guess the obvious answer is: pick the grenth dervish as they still come in pairs)
Or the occasional RaO thumper?

I don't see much self-powerhealing on the YAA monk either..

I see the advantages, but I also can think of situations where YAA isn't the best answer. Does it warrant the warrior elite instead of a monk elite?

Blinding Flash was actually a skill that I considered for quite some time when I started running Mo/E, but at that time, I opted to go with Aegis+Ward instead. Five energy B-surge is tempting, though. Very very bad, but tempting.

Played against someone last night with Grasping Earth on 2 Mo/Es, which was a little unusual. Not sure it's actually good but our warriors did seem irritated.

I'm sad that you're discounting the three water snares on the flagstand E/Mo.

Oh, hi there Lemming. No, I wasn't discounting that - all those snares basically nullified the stand team's offense. It's just, y'know, the thread was about Monks and not your primary snare guy. Good game, by the way - really close one. I'm looking forward to facing you again sometime.

The reason I mentioned it was that I haven't seen hex snares on monks before so I figured it was an interesting idea. Grasping Earth actually got better in the latest skill update, too.

[Rawr] used to run that. Don't know if they still do, though.

They gave grasping a buff. As soon as we saw it, our monks started running it jsut for some added defense against Grenth Trains. The fact that you can also bring a GoLE with the same sub is even more attractive.

i've been toying around with this shield of deflection bar:

sig of devo, mending touch, rof, goh, mend condition, SoD, holy veil, hex breaker

it works well enough, but it needs the other monk to be designed to complement this. prot spirit is out of the question, because of the increased armor from SoD will make PS kinda pointless. SoA in its current form might be beneficial, but i don't see it working too well either. shielding hands is a good one, but the 15 second recharge is pretty hefty. i suppose spirit bond will always trigger before SoD. if so, does it trigger before the block? if it does, SB is probably the best pair up for it.

of course, the metagame needs to lose the grenth dervish and become extremely melee/ranger/paragon heavy before SoD sees any play. i might try putting this on a runner though. works great against YAA warriors and BA rangers.
