Warriors are still used on the more succesful builds out there. W/E with wards + eviscaerate for the dmg while gettin to halls. Earthshaker was used on a build i saw and they must have held halls for 15-20 times. Wait it out hardcore wars. Nerfs are "Incoming!" (Ya i know that was really stupid it just happened to work)

Warriors are far from dead.

Yes at the moment RaO is pretty strong for DPS. It however is very counterable by just beating on the enemies pets. Take the pet down not only do you blackout a thumpers skill bar but make there elite useless until they rez the pet. Pets with DP are very easy to kill so If you kill a pet a few times it's very easy to keep down. Also Monks are watching pets now but not that well agaist spikes etc. Spike the pet down with 2 warriors and good bye pressure.

Dervishes are great additions. However they are way different then warriors. Yes they are melee however they are much more of a AOE pressure meele. They dont' have the spiking capablities or the utiltyness of a warriors

Warrior's are still the ultamite melee spike. They can do a shitload of dmg in very little time. Right now especially no one is carrying anti spike stuff as much. Their use to be an infuse monk on every build now most don't even carry the skill. Most of the build out there now are heroway which is just stupid and holding builds. The new 1 W/e with wards 1 thumper with fetile 2 Paragons and 2 monks is pretty rampent. I am seeing so many battles have to roll for the winner. That build is very beatable with 2 old fashioned axe warriors. It has no Spike block except for wards (which have downtime and are interuptable) and Incoming which can be kept up 25% of the time usually at max level 7 out of 20 seconds. If you have a decent warrior interupting the wards with disctacthign blow or shock is do able. Watching for down time on Incoming is easy and then you spike. It's really not that hard. Yes good guilds are goign to stop it allot. However you just need to get 1 or 2 threw to get some DP on a monk and then GG.

HA is just going threw a stage like always. Ele's were rampent at first in HoH and then they fased out. At first Warriors were known as crap then they became the best now they arn't favored at the moment. Everything has strengths and weakness and right now everyone is just trying holding builds. It happened before with blood spike and it will fase out again.

Upcoming nerfs (prolly after the next playoffs in gvg when most skill updates are)

Energizing finale (insainly over powered)
RaO (not that insainely but still a bit powerful)
Searing Flame (stupid)

Upcoming buff's

Epidemic like in every update but it will still be useless
Peace and Harmony Maybe after the 8th buff it will be usable

i'll assume they are gonna buff "the power is yours" as well... hehe.

what i would think would just be hilarious would be if they nerfed return and dark escape. Even as a monk, and even just a teeeeny nerf, i'd just laugh forever.

to the OP, if your making a pve character for PvE, i'd go with the warrior... not that i have ever played one in pve (let alone pvp), because i dunno how thumpers would fit into the whole pve scene. not tanks, not interrupters... "thumpers". wierd.

warriors are definitely not extinct, like the above poster said, i can very well remember a time when warriors in tombs was "noob", and if you weren't running air spike you were at least running a few eles. ("you can run away from warriors, that's just stupid.")

the spiking power of warriors cannot be disputed, the spiking power of a couple of rangers with hammers, however much dps they dish out, is not the greatest.

killing a humpers pet is exactly what most people want. you can activate RaO, have your pet die, and have RaO still active. With a dead pet, you get a utilizable corpse for a midline necro. Res pet, RaO, Repeat.

Bingo cruc, I got insanely bored and joined a PUG team. There was a guy spamming wells and wards in the group, it actually worked quite well. For about 99% of the match, the pets (mine and another thumper in the group) were used for well fodder.
