The problem is (as it's been said over and over again) is Anet can't expect people not to get frustrated when they ruin HAs popularity and then, before effectively fixing it, rendering the gvg ladder totally pointless. The two main modes of competitive pvp are crippled and people are leaving the game by the boatload. It's easy to point out the should'ves, (should not have gimped the ladder if you weren't 100% sure it would be for a very limited time, should not have changed HA to 6v6, should have balanced certain skills blah blah blah). The hard part is to fix it and make the majority of competitive players happy before they all go play WoW

Yeah it really is rediculous with what they are doing. It was very clear a long time ago that changing HA back to 8v8 would sort out several problems. And they then implemented this new system into GvG that wasn't even totally ready... why announce a release date of something that isn't complete... It's BS.

Hi Slooty btw, long time :P

I don't get it... most PvP'ers were complaining that HA and GvG were getting stagnant, boring, etc. ANET decided to shake it up based, on what I read anyway, the majority vote. THEN, when everyone complained about THAT, they decided to change it back. Now everyone's complaining again about what they changed, what they didn't change, what they want to change..... for God's sake!

Just go win the damn fights so I can get into the frickin Underworld again already! Damn American slackers. :P

Wrong, there was no vote, and if there had been HA would have never been changed.

Wrong, you'll notice HA hasn't been changed back, it's been changed further. And GvG has yet to be changed to the new format which is being delayed for several months, leaving us with nothing to do.

I'm more upset that this has driven so many of the strong PvP players away from the game. It feels like forced retirement. It's like if they changed drop rates on golds and ectos to only 1/10 of the current drop rate. You and all your little PvE friends would whine just as much. Most of us feel like the rug has been pulled out from under us. So hopefully now you understand and you won't make ignorant "stop crying" posts anymore, kthx

Well i heard the new GvG system would of been in already but A-net are never on time so sadly doubted it would be on time and oh look i was right!

Also due to the lack of effort Anet seem to have put into the PvP side of the game the servers will probably go down in a year because not enough people continue to play and that is no fault but there own, if only they gave a *BEEP* about there own game :/

Got to live in hope one day they will get something right.

yeah, the new gvg system wont be here for another 2 months....4 months down the line. Instead of Anet making everything soo hard,I dont see why they cat just do what a majority of the ppl want, 8v8 HA AND get that gvg system up ASAP...
Note to Anet: Dont release a date for such a big factor in pvp play before its ready...

Maybe just a ladder reset with the old ELS system.... at least we will have a functioning system.

I was under the impression from some I read by Gaile that a new "fun" season would be starting again before the auto system is set in place. Was I misguided about this.

Yes, you were. The "in-between-season" is to be a competitive season with real life prizes.

Although I would agree that Anet has mismanaged many of the updates and not implemented new changes on time or implemented the wrong changes to stay forever...I still think that Guild Wars is a great game and that there comes a point that if you hate things in Guild Wars so much, why not stop whining and just leave like you said?

So many top players have left already, with likely more to follow soon, that I dont think we should be encouraging yet more players to leave. The standard of competition is already pretty low for the most part at the top of the ladder

I'll have to disagree with the "all is lost" mentality. It's a shame to see a bunch of top guilds dissolve as they have, and more top guilds are dissolving, only slowly. The game types are changing to make it more "exciting." It doesn't mean the game is dying, IMHO. Just the end of an era, a mass extinction, if you will. And if you follow Darwinism, a superior 'species' will come to dominate the 'world'.

Anet 'ill get its shit straight eventually. Or we'll all go play WoW, which isn't so bad. Ya'll need to stop taking the game that seriously IMO.
