So, not to kick a dead horse (and repeat what the last few posters said.)

3 quotes is not enough to constitute that the majority of players want 6v6 back. I'm not sure if you are just trolling but you may want to check out the quotes from many many experienced HA and PvP players right here on this very thread. Not to mention the other threads that have similar arguments.

My biggest problems with your posts are - that unlike other people who have given valid reasons for wanting 6v6 - you have not given good reasons.

Additionally, you post things that invoke others (including me) to want to flame you for your childishness.

If you want to have a respectable discussion about 6v6 please do so - otherwise take your ranting and raving somewhere else please.

--EDIT--

Not to mention the fact that the so called "petition" has 1 person that signed it and was closed? Please, if you're going to try and defend your position - give yourself a leg to stand on.

Does not take much skill to spam Hexes that hit also the adjacent foe and having 4 people heal each other with 1 skill. I agree that 6v6 is just about luck or either playing the waiting game or just rolling dice. I'll tell you now the longest matches I ever had were up to 30 minuteson Dark Chambers and this is only with 6v6 compared to the highest I had with 8v8 was around 10 minutes on scarred earth. I honestly hope ANET didn't pull this 6v6 stunt because of that 6v6 double fame weekend.
yeah it was caus of the doubel fame event.. itwasent populare caus it was fun.. but caus of the easy fame.. with vimway..

Default 6 vs 6

By switching to 6 vs 6 and make the game harder to farm really discourage ppl to play GW. Anyway, I agree that it is way harder and more time consuming in gaining fame. It is really based on the sense of luck now which make it less fun. In my past 6vs6 HA, many times my group get ganged in broken tower (3 vs 3) before any group is on the altar. In other cases, 2 groups fight while the other group is standing there laughing and also sometimes the altar was capped by red, but red is not being pressured, etc. That's really ridiculous.

Another thing I dislike is the level that you found in scarred earth.

No doubt that 6 vs 6 will make the group forming a little faster but I don't like it personally. Maybe the map in HOH does not fit 6 vs 6 well, so they should consider making new maps just to fit the 6 vs 6 pvp lovers.

3 way broken tower is the main source of this feeling IMO.

Think about it, we usually have 1 vs 1 maps like UW/ burial mound/ broken tower, before we enter more advance map such as courtyard, HoH. That really give us a warm up before we face a more challenging group as a player in the backline, but now, sigh, just not fun.

In response to Altar's suggestion, I think betting won't work but instead, GW should pay the group for winning in each battle because for PvPers and not just by getting the items from the HoH chest. It's really hard for me to keep my cash atm doing HA while keeping a few PvE characters. I did encourage my PvE friends to play PvP but no luck so far. They only like to challenge the bosses. I told them that if they don't play PvP, they only pay to play half of the game. At the end, this is called "Guild Wars" which means PvP base and not farming bosses. Anet should make it more fun in PvP to bring more ppl into the PvP side. Double fame won't encourage it in my opinion and it's sad to see how they get bambi from that weekend when I worked over 3 to 4 month on that rank w/ any help.

Anet should give 1) experience, 2) money, 3) fame in each HA battle.

Default A Change We Need

In 8v8 a good balance would always be able to overcome stuff like bspike or iway. Iway wasnt even good lol any team with half a brain could beat them. BSpike was able to win against most builds no doubt but it wasnt the easyest build to be good at. HA is extremely random now, you can be r10+ but run into a r3+ thats some gay fotm that counters your build perfectly. Its more about luck and who ganks who on sacred earth nowadays. You can say or think what ever youd like, but the fact is MORE people playd HA when it was 8v8, not only more, but BETTER players did. People are complaining, so why not change it back to something we all loved?

Default fail less anet

hmm 8 vs 8 with 6 int dis... ^^

hmm 6 vs 6 with 2 int dis at prime time. (screen was taken earlier today)

all i can say is wow anet has completly ruined the game. they changed it to where you need 90+ wins in gvg for champ point(90 if you get lucky with +4's) and leaving it 6 vs 6 HA.

http://www.guild-hall.net/forum/show...d=1#post540040

gaile gray said its gonna remain 6 vs 6

anyway GL with your game anet cause i know of atleast 40 poeple that you made quit the game untill its returned to 8 vs 8 or gvg rating is fixed, as for now its archlord or wow or cs

Hello,

Someone on another forum pointed out that there was some concern about my earlier post where I agreed with another player (on that forum) who said that simply changing the numbers would not solve the issue. I agreed, and said that we would not simply change the numbers and consider everything solved.

For clarity: We have not ruled out a change in players on a map any more than we have ruled out other elements of Heroes' Ascent that are getting a good look, such as map changes, condition changes, reordered challenges, skill balancing, and a host of other elements of that whole wonderful thing known as Heroes' Ascent. Some things within the HA system are great, some could use improvement. We fully and completely agree with you on that. And, perhaps now more than any nearly any other time, player input is essential to our getting that element of the game back to being the most fun it can be.

We will continue to consider player numbers, as we will consider many other potential changes. Virtually nothing has been removed from the consideration list and all proposals are still on the table and are still being discussed at length.

We should have more information about HA in the next few days, and I know you'll be excited about what we have in mind.

No offense, but the only thing that will get me excited about HA is 8v8. My guild's been working on new 8v8 builds for a while now, and we're hoping they will be able to be played in HA.

Honestly, I don't care what the new changes will be, (I'm guessing new maps and a different way to win halls), if it doesn't involve 8v8.

Thats just me of course...

Good to know. (All those people *cough*E-Drama Queens*cough* in the other thread should be ashamed)

Now if only they deal with the rank problem along with number/map then everything would be perfect.

This gets said about every update, and we NEVER get excited about it. HA won't ever be exciting unless it gets completely changed, ie maps, skill balances, player numbers, or just remove it and make GvG better. Guild Wars is boring now anyway, so I'm not stressing about what the update will do to further kill the game.

Thanks for this comment Gaile. Its appreciated, especially here, on this forum, with the biggest HA players community on the web.

All that drama was unnecessary.

I posted my opinion about current HA situation and proposed solutions in 20 previous posts, and I'll refrain from repeating them again. I'll wait for the actual changes to happen, and then You can be sure to hear my thoughts about them.

You may reserve the right to remain unexcited. I guarantee that many people will think what we're doing is very cool.

The last time I remember you saying an update would be "very cool" it ended up being an update to the gw shop or something lol.

But thanks for the post, nonetheless. Cleared up the fact that you guys haven't completely dismissed 8v8 yet, so we can keep on hoping...

Now, you go 'head and keep that cynicism close to your heart. But check back with me later and tell me if you don't think there's something pretty cool about upcoming plans.

So I'm sure you've seen how many people want 8v8 back... Could you at least tell us the probability of it returning? Or if there's any use for us to continue hoping?

Ok, guys. I'm going to remind you to keep this to the topic at hand. If you can't calmly and rationally explain your position, you need to step away from the keyboard. Don't make it personal, don't flame other posters. (I don't care if they really are an IWAY scrub. Take it to PMs with them.)

just give them what they want, Gaile. remember, they used to fill the HA districts (as they claim). make them return to the game so they can farm more fame.

I happen to have a direct (and secret) link into to the brainwaves of the dolphins responsible for making guildwars design decisions. They have indicated: 100%, -1% for each flame posted to guru.

So -324% currently.

Seriously, read between the lines already. You are getting you 8v8 back, most likely.
