indeed, this change is waaay overdue... if you stand in HA nowdays, in any district you will see none of the old names. all of the pure HA guilds have gone. Some of the greats who i used to see just standing about are nowhere to be seen. [CASH], [AnSy], [CnoD], [EaT], [MATH]... everyone is gone.

how many will come back? probably none. most of these guilds died with the birth of 6v6. they either converted to gvg, or left the game altogether. still, F-Lists still remain so old teams will return. maybe not with the tag, but they will be there.

2 choking gas rangers will be hillariously bad unless we get good altars back.

And btw, Elrodien why on earth wouldn't you want altars back. Kill count is a joke. At least altar maps required a small amount of skill/strategy, spamming AoE spells on the other hand doesn't take much.
Hey, I never said I liked kill count either - there is bound to be another way than these mechanics to make HA more about skill rather than who leeches the most kills and who can bring the most defensive build hoping for a Halls jump.

Those who left, got kicked and are still active in HA are in other HA guilds atm.

MATH now is a roleplaying guild with members enjoying FoW and DoA runs and collecting minipets. The guild is abhorring and has abandoned PvP and preventing its members engaging in any of its form because the guild believes that PvP leads to hatred and violence. So PvE ftw.

That's certainly a strange selection of halls "greats"

I'll come back when halls stops being f*cktarded. (That would involve removing kill count, relics in halls, plus some skill balances) A few of my friends have pretty much the same opinion. Can't vouch for anyone else, obv.

You're confusing PvP with IWAY.

I expect that there are going to be more changes than just 8v8 - perhaps folks should wait and see before the jump to conclusions now . . .

Nerf rollbacks? If yes, sweet so we can transition easily from PvE to PvP!

8v8 with kill counts is just going to be absurd imo. They need to do some skill balancing and bring back the old rules of altar holding, no capture points. But double fame weekend? I say go go r12 for me.

Typical, after all the whining about getting 8v8 back, it's back and the HA forum is STILL full of whining.

Perhaps the expression 'Be grateful for small mercies' should be adopted as the forum motto eh?

The HA forum motto should instead be "If it ain't broke don't fix it, or else we'll rage, ANET."

I think you will find that Double Fame for one weekend will mean bugger all in the scheme of things eg. title farming. It's just Anet highlighting the change back to 8v8, and way of attracting n00bs to try HA. Meaning there will be a lot of PUG activity that will annoy the regulars, but hopefully after the weekend many players drawn to the double points promo will stick around and HA will have more regular players as a result, which helps us all.
