no offence intended but it just sounds like u aren't an avid pvp'er, you generalise too much with "dervish", be specific about what build.

I can assure u every single build that can be conjured can be countered simply. Guild wars is a balanced game.

corrupt enchantment/price of failure/reckless haste/insidious parasite/parasitic bond/faintheartedness/glyph of lesser energy/rez sig.

rapes any melee.

for ab you can go */a for some run buffs and self heals and call it a build.

I honestly dont know why people play dervs in AB, I tried it once and got absolutely owned (nuked, cursed, hexed, interupted you name it) only thing they're useful are taking MM's down.

But the stratedgies listed above all work, I personally go with [skill]rend enchantments[/skill] slow recharge which is a bummer, but given that majority of derv builds need stacked enchantments it can cut them down very quickly, great on earth tanks too
