The only thing that should have been nerfed is basicly Soul Reaping
Soul reaping should not get any energy from dead spirits.Pet and Charecters is fine but why spirit -.- ?
For example back in the days iway build existed because of that simple reason.Necros with infinitive energy from spirits can spam more healing and more orders. But it seems that few people understood that.So i the reason why necro spike and other based on soul reaping builds exist. The soul reaping was found around Faction release as i remmeber from EaSy ( maybe i am wrong thats how i remmeber it ). Since then Tombs or so called now HA isnt the as fun as it was.
About the size i do think 8vs8 is better. From my own expirience back in the days i remmeber that there were many different builds. But Anet invented skills like ward of stability and that song of concentration as many other skills that changed the metagame. That was basicly the way to force people buy the new expansions so they can keep their economy up. I agree they need money they deserver it... but at the end that great game started to sound like Build Wars rather than its normal name .Player skill isnt that important as it was once. Just to look how they nerfed armor change while you play PvP.Many were switching armors and helms.
Back in the days Anet wanted to make something to connect the pve part with the pvp. Well at the currect moment you can have anything you want for pvp. Why wound any pvp player will play pve now ? Back in the days i was playing pve and farming , but now that i know there is nothing i can get there... where is the point ?
Every old player know what is the moto of tombs - The king of the hill.
Why change that ? I mean for example even if team play strongy holding build. If there are 2 smart teams on the other sides and they know what to do they can easility take that team out. The 10 minutes HoH was giving a nice oportinuty for all teams , if you lose altar you still have time to recap. Even if you get ganked thats still nice and for 10 minutes against 2 good teams there is no way to make it .Old School guys know the pleasure to play tombs back in the days and i am sure many miss that time. The moment when tombs started to turn into a dissaster was when iway and necro spike appeared. I dont think Ranger Spike was something overpowered.
I will stop here my post is getting to long

Now that 8v8 has returned it's time to look at mechanics.

Jenna said it all. This non-altar thing is just bad. Kill count is the worst idea ever, no one wants to get ganked, everyone waits for 3-4 minutes and even then one team gets ganked.

Well, from my experiences today, people are learning to run a bunch of different builds and still succeed on kill count. Ganking of course is still an issue, but beating two teams both attacking you at once on Courtyard is fun!

Proposal: Keep 8v8, remove kill count, find some other new gametype that doesn't greatly support spikes or ganking. A challenge, yes, but it's possible.

can i change my vote? -.- if killcount stays... go back to 6v6...
BUT WHY DON4T YOU JUST PUT THE RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOING HOLDING MAPS IN IT?
Does Anet like to ignore the voice of the HA players who just wanna make the game more fun?
I don't like to wait 3-6 mins to go into HoH or facing again a stupid gimmick build that just spike targets...
Change: KC
The Waiting Time

... not hard just a few hours work

Well before everyone voted we did make anet aware we were voting for 8v8 without kill count. Obviously they chose to ignore that part, funny though how they made HA 8v8 with kill count even though that was a 6v6 mechanic. I sort of get the feeling from anet that they are reluctant to turn HA to the players requests but rather want to do and will try to do what they think will work best. Anet let me give you your grade for this whole HA trial. A -Z. Dont complain btw, i think i was being generous.

Let's do a revolution, let's steal GW from them and finally make the adjustmets and then give it back... I'm sure we do it better then they do

Here's a toast to Anet for bringing back 8v8 HA, it was such a brilliant idea that people stopped playing.

3 days ago I was in an HA group and we got rolled by a high ranked guild. 5 minutes later we were back at the Underworld with the very same guild that rolled us 5 minutes before. Another 5 minutes later we skipped to Dark Chambers and met the same guild there again... 10 minutes after that we met them in Halls...

So uhhh was that a coincidence or were we the only 2 groups playing in HA?

When it was 6v6, it took our guild 5 minutes to put together a group. When it went back to 8v8, it took us 2 hours. Two people made all the difference in the world.

Screw HA, I'm sick and tired of infusing against gimmick spikes, it's starting to get on my nerves. I hate them more than I hate BoA sins (GJ on the Nerf btw, that's the only reason why I still have a tiny bit of faith in ArenaNet).

No, probably not. As much as Anet have screwed up the arena, they aren't to blame (for everything). They have different crowds playing different arenas, and this was their attempt to satisfy the majority. Don't blame them, blame yourselves.

After arguying with some PvEers in the soul reaping thread in Riverside, I have come to realize that all these "We are the majority! We can do it better!" remarks are such a waste of time. Instead of cluttering the forum with the same kind of BS (thank god Death_From_Above is banned), please keep it clean with suggestions and ways to make it better. Back and forths really lead to nothing.

Oh, and changing halls back to a dias, or even changing it to not make it a random objective, is NOT the right way.

Lets have Anet keep screwing up halls with new "amazing" changes, instead of simply putting it back to the way halls was when it was working.

The changes were unnecessary in the first place and actually ruined a system of halls that was working.

Yes, but I don't think leaving it would have actually "killed" HA.

Want to know the truth? Nightfall screwed up HA, and most the people that left just can't be RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed to come back. Bringing back altars (alters for Nurse xD) might attract some old HAers (not much though), but it will be broken regardless.
I would rather they tried to fix it instead of reinstated the dias maps, maybe we'll get somewhere.

To conclude my lovely whine: Multiple objectives = good.
Altars = bad.
Removing kill count and substituting those maps with annyhilation with interesting evironmental factors and wierd teleports and stuff = ideal.

Or maybe some interesting annyhalation (sp?). Though I would settle for 1v1 Kill count (even though 1v1 kill count makes little sense).
