Thanks to everyone who participated in the poll. Your input, comments, and suggestions were very valuable to us as we made the final decision.

As you may have read on the news page, Heroes' Ascent will be reverting to an 8v8 party size this week. That is not the final change, however, as the team will continue to review the maps, mechanics, and more in the future.

Thanks again, and you can count on us continuing to read, report, and review all your feedback.

Galie before you go can i ask a few questions please. So are you going to get rid of the kill count mechanics cos every1 thinks they suck to be honest and as you can see a majority of people on the forms agree with this point. Also how comes it took anet so long to come to a decsion when dated we were promised was March the 1st. Secondly how comes we werent informed of current affairs during this time period. Lastly, why not just revert the mechanics back to how they originaly were rather than going to all this hassil and trying to force changes on people which they dont want. Seems rather time consuming to me to be honest.

To be honest i have a strange feeling no one actual reads the forms or bothers review over the feedback from the players. As if this did happen, where is the fruit of our reports? We asked for kill count to be removed completely from the game and all we get is it removed from halls. Where are the other changes we have asked for. To be honest, an im sad i have to say this but that statement seems to be comming from a vacum i feel (the vacum aka space for those who think im on about the machine).

I don't want 8v8 with Kill count, kill kill count and then revert to 8v8.

IMO

Exactly lmao. Anet dont seem to get the message and then they try tell the HA community we listern to your feedback and review it. I have sort of gotten the feeling and so have many other players that anet really just want to do what they want and use this as an excus. Prologining such simple things because they think it works best rofl. Its like a simple question, how hard is it to give the HA ocmmunity what they want, it seems this is what anet have been avoiding to do although they know the answer to it. Im telling you guys lol, anet are trying to wind us up im sure of it. There actions recently have been unexcusable.

Please clarify what exactly is going to be done. After you're finished explaining that, make sure to remove killcount and all the other crappy mechanics and just go back to old 8v8 >_>

Thanks for finally listening to the Heroes' Ascent community. After 9 months of endless campaign we got what we wanted... However, I do hope Galie, that brining back 8v8 is not the only change you will implement to HA. Another prority and popular request is the removal of killcount mechanics, as it promotes spikes/ heavy aoe gimmicks and is seriously crippling degen/shutdown builds. I dont have to mention that some real remaking of the maps will be nice, but I understand you have also other priroties with new game in the making so Ill just settle with 8v8 and no killcount for now.

Im looking forwards to your posts in Gladiator's Arena, I understand the community was sometimes harsh to you, but you have to understand their frustration and anger. Hopefully, when Anet will keep on the good track, you will come in here gladly, and more often, because praises for the job well done and actual fruitful discussion will replace current frustration, stagnation and rage.

Im glad ill be able to play in 8v8 HA again, and Im looking forward for further improvements!

8 vs 8 is back. No surprise.

What about Kill Count and the format of HoH?

If they are not going to remove that, then it is not good to have 8 vs 8. Like I said, Kill Count promotes spike build.

The format of HoH right now doesn't fit 8 vs 8. You can have 10 people body blocking you from running relic or capturing the alter. How stupid is that?

Frankly, I hope kill count stays until hexes are nerfed, otherwise HA will turn into a hex heavy train wreck.

Seeing as the only real thing stopping good hexes teams in GvG is being able to split (not on Jade ofc!) i wouldn't be surprised at all if this turned out to be true! Hexes in general are so much more powerful now than before, and there's only so much you can do with Divert and Purge Sigs when the hex team DOESN'T have to worry about splits and can pack even more interrupts and shutdown in their setup.

Give it another 6-9 months and we'll get another change or two that might make it actually really fun to play again. C ya all then~

Edit: Oh and double fame didn't ruin fame. Fame never meant anything. But if you want something to blame for "ruining fame", let me introduce you to spirit spamming. People went from r1->r10 in like a week. Thats better than r2->6 in a weekend. Or you could blame r-spike, blood spike, iway, vimway, (insert other "lame gimmick farming build" here). Or I guess you could blame double fame weekend. Whatever enlarges your e-peen....

If it's not final decision, how can it be permanent?

Read it again Leteci. She had in mind that 8v8 change wont be the last, or only one , not that it wont be permanent. 8v8 will be here in friday, and will stay till the end of GW1 hopefully.

Although 8v8 is making a return and I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, I would suggest skill balancing before giving us an extra 2 necros to stick into our 1337 spike 'n spirits build.
