Default Need Help

Coming back to guild wars after an 8 month break (by break i mean ive been playing World of warcraft :/). Anyways while i was gone a lot appears to have changed. I got to rank 6 before i quit so have plenty of experience of HA but i kinda need updating with builds and stuff and if any of the old builds i used to play like WoH monk infuser Prot monk are still used and also if my rank 6 actually means anything anymore or are all the good players rank 9+ now.

Thanks

1) There have been two (count 'em!) double fame weekends since you left. The already skewed "skill vs rank" mechanic is now officially destroyed. People still ask for certain ranks of course, but it doesn't mean anything anymore. I had a r10 prot join my team last night who pinged a bar without an elite.

2) WoH blows. Most healers run Light of Deliverance now. If you don't have Nightfall you're probably not going to be able to pvp very easily. The builds you're used to running are still around, but the new skills have changed things immensely. People still run RC prots and such, but with a couple of different skills. It really depends on which expansions you have.

3) Welcome back. WoW is the devil.

WoH blows? Last I saw it was buffed quite nicely. It's a shame it's not really a part of the meta right now.

Yes, WoH blows. Well, I mean it's not so much that it's a bad skill it's just that there are so many other, better elites that monks can bring. Really it seems like the main thing is its relative inability to deal with pressure; teams that run WoH over LoD are probably a lot more likely to get owned by AoE. You can't target yourself with it (which is a kick in the pants to say the least) and the conditional heal doesn't really strike me as that great. Even with the WoH "buff" and the ZB "nerf," the latter still strikes me as a better skill.

I personally like WoH better than i like LoD. Not enough degen teams for LoD to shine really. But i also like ZB, Divert, RC, and dare i say BL more than WoH. Healing < Prot. If ZB didnt exist WoH would be necessary imo but with a reliable straight heal that you can target yourself with in the prot line WoH is just torn to pieces. The only way WoH could come back is if:
1. there was no straight heal in prot line
AND/OR
2. You could target yourself with it

As for the OP.... booo WoW!

Meta in flux right now since the skill update. Jump into it quick cause everyones going for a loop. Some things you might need to know:
Eles are being used and are quite easy to play, Warriors are coming back, and its just a suspicion, but i think heavy condition pressure might be on its way too. Soul reaping was nerfed to hell paragons are spiking machines.

Hurry up and get in before people find more things to complain about in this meta
