For second time in a row, i'd say gj ANet. Every change there i can understand and say 'hey, good fix, maybe not what i would've done but good fix'.

The only exception is Spiteful Spirit (PvE Necros can't AEcho 3 x 15E spells without any emanagement on their bar anymore so let's reduce energy cost!) which i believe is too good for 10E, but it's not game breaking either. I'm not convinced that OoV needed that energy reduction either but it will definitely see some use.

Also there's an 'hidden' nerf to Cripslash, which is now 5 adrenal. Again i think it's good.

All I gotta say is "Damnit!" cause I preferred Mind Blast over Searing Flames...

The Burst change is fine, however...

Black Spider Strike nerf??? WTF. Retarded.

SHADOW PRISON OBVIOUSLY NEEDS TO BE ON A 15 SECOND RECHARGE NOW.

Also, Icy Veins is worthless now.

I'm not a huge fan of the Mirror recharge change... yes it's a bit silly having GftE paragons spam it, but I'll take anything that kills an idiotic skill like Aegis, and that's all this skill really does.

I don't think they really needed to touch natural stride, did you?

Everything else seems *acceptable* though.

Oy, another hex buff and again no practical changes to hex removal. They need to buff a non-elite hex removal, badly. 8 sec holy veil would be fair, amirite?

There is absolutely nothing in the current or past assasin templates that is worth promoting in gvg. They need to either be reworked completely to follow a model that rewards player skill (instead of being 123456 bots) - or nerfed out of the metagame entirely.

The goal of balance in a competitive game should not to make sure that all strategical options are equally viable. It should be to make sure that easy options are weak, and difficult things are strong.

Reward player skill. Good changes.

Natural Stride is really really good, rangers are pretty much immortal with it and Mtouch.

Now we'll see assassins use Flail instead of Burst of Aggression.

And hasn't Black Spider Strike been 5...20 since it came out?

Well, Flail can't be used before the SP chain without building up 4 strikes of adrenaline, which would be easily spotted and prepared for. I seriously doubt there will be much of a shift towards Flail.

Assassins weren't meant to have IAS. This was a long time coming, but at least it finally came to pass. If they want a Warrior IAS, let em use Frenzy.

Interesting buff to the necromancer line besides the lame icy veins spikers...return of IWAY with oov? Mending touch, BoA, wearying strike are pretty expected to be nerfed slightly, but the nerf to natural stride and mirror of disenchantment seemed a little uncalled for. I don't really like the buff to spiteful spirit, but I guess they had to buff some hex since melee was getting too powerful in the meta now.

I was hoping for a nerf to water eles, personally. These changes are decent though.

it all looks good. paras using Mirror was a little funny, so i can understand it. natural stride and mending touch are still fine. almost every ranger in game was running these two skills, myself included, and probably will still be running them. BoA was overdue, as was wearying. SS really doesnt do much. helps the pve crowd, but thats all i can see in it. OoV is a whatever change. and the hidden change to crip slash seems right. 5 adren is just about right for that kind of skill.

STrange I dont see advocates for an alternative Mending touch "nerf". I am personally quite appalled by the nerf, not only decreasing its functionality on monk secondaries, but also on monk primaries (by 50%).

4 seconds was a nice a recharge when i am being loaded with conditions, either caused by enemies, or by me using draw conditions. Only daze is a problem when drawn.

Now we try to recall what the "supposed" abuse was about. Ok warriors, rangers, and others used mending touch to get rid of unwanted conditions, either when solo, or when overextended near the stand. Good they could remove a small stack of conditions (cripple and blind mainly) every four seconds. Now was there any monk abuse? I really don't recall such abuse, and people remembering it are welcome to enlighten me.

The only good nerf would be to make the amount of conditions removed linked to protection prayers (2 conditions at 8 or more, maybe even higher). I think this misses (again) to hit the essence of the nerf needed, as with soul reaping jagged bones, and some more.

If they buff holy veil to 8 second recharge, I'm taking echo, arcane echo, and holy veil. I'll be the leetest monk ever!

I had a joygasm when I saw they fixed mending touch. I would've preferred the condi removal to scale for your spec in prot as it is still superior on a ranger than it is on a monk, but whatever. At least the bastards will stay blind.

I am personally not 100% convinced IAS on assassin is a big problem. Yes they get to launch 4 skills in 3.5 seconds rather then 5, but that means there is still enough time to place a big heal or two, an infue or some prots anyway.
