No and no.
I can monk. It's one of my two primary roles in PvP.
But I can also run it quite effective on other primary professions.
It's also not better, but in the several team builds, it was working fine.

So why take N/Mo?
Essentially, it's the same reason as taking Mo/Me or Mo/E.
Other professions offer better E-management than DF.
So you take E-management of those other professions.

In the end (not considering spiritway) it's the skill of the person playing monk and the teambuild, and not the primary profession that makes the difference between a good monk and a bad one. Low energy professions being the exception.
Well what I meant is that I am sure there are people who are so used to having near unlimited energy from SR, that when it changes they may have a hard time as an actual monk

Against spike its all about if you can start killing them before they start chain killing you.

with soul reaping nerf paragon pressure/spike is the new meta IMO

None of those skills help against spikes, apart from Melee against adrenaline spikes.

Edit: I replied like a d*ckhead first time around.

I played with Ocrana, mTw and played with SK for a bit. Uh, offensive works better in that game. What the hell are you talking about?
