4) The mere fact you've posted a pic of your character (like it matters) kind of worries me.

1) Don't PvP with your PvE characters, although technically you can...so much more convinent for pvp characters.
2) Since you're R3, you should be able to get into PUG groups. Start forming your own groups, SF spike is a relatively easy build to organize for fame farming.
3) Honestly, no high ranked groups is going to take you unless they know you personally. Afterall, you're only rank 3.
4)Best way to get better is to keep practicing, best way to practice is join to a PvP oriented guild. It took me a little bit under 2 months to get rank 4 (almost r5 now,) with my new guild. The chances you'll find someone very good in a PUG is very slim. Best way to get into high ranked groups is to know people in the PvP circle. The game is sort of like real life, its all about connections.
5) Learn to monk. Once you figure out how monks work, it becomes so much easier to take down monks. Also, i feel that monks are probably the most saught after classes in PUGs (feel free to correct me on this one).
6) Other than that, PM me ig (Xianglian Chai) our guild group usually will try out new ppl, we HA usually from 7pm - 12 AM EST on weekdays and probably anywhere from 6 PM - 2 AM EST on weekends.

On a lighter note...
Nurse With Wounds.....
jesus h. christ! Your picture freaks me out everytime i see it. Reminds me of like a female version of the Grudge...That's not goth...that's just like.....ugh....freaky.... That pic also reminds me of those goth vampires from the game: Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines

This won't make him a good player and it won't help build his friend list of good players in my opinion; therefore, I would say this is a bad idea. Play less 'lame' builds .

He only has to message some guy randomly and get lucky. Sure I gave reasons that I would not take him but there are people who will. Personally I don't care what group I join most of the time - I care about the players I invite though. Now if he invited me to his group and he did turn out to be good, then yes I'd use him again.

I was playing PVE while ago - and I was like, rank 2 then. Met a guy from Magic School bus (stoned) - who I spoke to and we just got along. Now he was rank 11 before I had my bambi (I think). If not, he was certainly rank10. I had lots of events like this in PVE. Just getting lucky with who I spoke to I guess. The more and more I played, the less I cared about fame, I realised people were ridiculously bad. Sure, for a long time I was very very bad but there was higher ranked players much worse.

Posting on a forum for help actually gets you laughed at. Plus it's told everyone the rank of the player. Not really a good idea for rank discriminating people.

I know people like me, T V C for example. We'll get bored and maybe randomly invite some guy. Sure it may not be often, but if this guy is always on the look out for that - he will get in high rank groups.

I know this to be so.

As long as you practice the right things.

HA guilds don't usually last long, and if you read his post - that doesn't really sound like a bright idea.

You may be right, though people don't really understand how nice it is to have a really good caller and melee player. I played with a guy (not allowed to give full name) but it has 'a net s' in his name =P. Well, he out right said he was the best assassin. He is/was/always will be a fairly average player. Now people in his group thought he was good, he pretty much lead the team to death and i'm not going to bother waste my breath (literally) arguing with him.

There is plenty of people like this, and at a lower rank there's even more. So I would say, a good tactician is important for lower rank groups.

I'm not trying to argue for the sake of it. Just people shouldn't give up, you can get lucky and get in groups.

it looks like you miss the whole idea of pvp.
1. In pvp ppl dont care how you look, they just want to kill you.
2. If you are dead in the mud, it doesn't matter what your armor looks like, so pvp ppl just dont like the dresser attitude.
3. 1vs1 is another wrong idea. pvp is won by group play. Asking for 1vs1 say you might not grasp that idea, it is bad for you to say it.

heh i have noticed lately that 2/3 guild battles in observer mode that are above rank 400 have at least one warrior with a Torment shield and crystalline/dwarven/sephis etc.
dont know what is up with that, if they buy in or what, but last time i saw a Cripslash warrior with Sever artery along with Cripslash that was yesterday i think

But yea to the thread starter. Ovserve battles. i can say thats the easiest way to see teamwork and how a build is really supposed to work. I have made my monk 2x better from Observer mode just watching other monks and how they utilize the same build.

Then you could ask around in HA and tell them you have been doing that. thats how i just got in a r7++ guild and im only r4. Im in their HA team and well underway to r5

Do you know how many fames you need for R12? LOL. Let me share some light with you.

1 R12 = 2 R11 (almost)
1 R11 = 2 R10
1 R10 = 2 R9
1 R9 = 2 R8
.......continue on and on.......

It means every time you are one rank higher than before, you need about twice the effort and time for the next rank.

So you are right now R3. How long do you think it takes for you to go to R6?

To be realistic here, "IF" you really try your best and have lots of time in life, you should just aim for R9. The game design inside HA is different now and it is harder to get your fames than before.

PS: I give up my R12 long time ago after I got my R11 because I just don't have time for this game anymore. Just play for fun.

PvP characters have access to all the perfect mods/runes/weapons/skills/etc... that you have unlocked on your account and all for free. You dont have to have many sets of armors, runes and weapons to play the build you need. You dont have to worry about capping that elite you dont have. You just unlock with faction.

Also templates work for armor/weapons on pvp characters. So when you change from trapper ranger to thumper, or fire ele to air ele, or whatever, you just click a few buttons and your all set to go.
