It's in critical strikes, but if it wasn't you'd still use Conjure Phantasm instead. (unless you have 18 critical strikes and a way to reliably meet the condition and make sure it's never removed! And you woudn't use your elite slot! Then I'd use seeping wound!)

you guys missed my point:

what i said is it is a decent lead for black lotus and spider and IF your spike failed (due to ultra fast reflexive healing, protspiriting, etc. etc.) the degen caused by seeping will cap out at 10 pips and since they are most likeally have less than 50 hp, you can easily back away and let the degen kill them. Its a failsafe, not the driving point to the build.

And before anyone asks, yes i have seen this work.

Also i said "THIS IS NOT THE BEST LEAD OUT THERE." I know the powers of shadow prison and expose defenses and ALWAYS choose those skills over Seeping Wound; however, i am trying to point out a use for a skill that has been getting a lot of hate from this forum.

uhm? in case the spike fails, i'd rather stab them a bit more anyways, rather than stepping back letting the degen kill them. and don't argue with getting owned if you stay there, just don't teleport in (if you have one anyways) when you are gonna be bashed on.

In a monkless world, yes.

To prove Seeping Wound is useless, compare to Reapers Mark:

Both are 5/1/10
Both are found in a Primary attribute

Seeping Wound:
-4 degen if poisoned or bleeding for 20 seconds

Reaper's Mark:
-5 degen for 30 seconds, with +15 energy if target dies

Default Elites I need to test

Theres usually a lot of hype around some elite skills, but usually I dont understand why people like them so much. So I am going to test them and see if they are so good as everyone says...

[skill]Cleave[/skill]Possibly fast damage
[skill]Flourish[/skill]Maybe W/A with daggers
[skill]Magehunter Strike[/skill]I really dont know why this is elite, people say its good for spiking...ill test
[skill]Hundered Blades[/skill]Vig spirit and zealous sword?
[skill]Oath Shot[/skill]Lets see if this is good for pvp trapping
[skill]Prepared Shot[/skill]Good damage, energy and recharge. Ill see if its worth the elite though
[skill]Incendiary Arrows[/skill]Good damage and interrupt?
[skill]Life Barrier[/skill]Ill try this with bonding
[skill]Shield of Deflection[/skill]I dont think this is good because of energy
[skill]Blood is Power[/skill]Worth the sacrifice?
[skill]Corrupt Enchantment[/skill]Good degen?
[skill]Lingering Curse[/skill]I think this deserves testing
[skill]Signet of Suffering[/skill]Worth the recharge?

More later

Cleave: Outclassed
Flourish: Bad
Magehunter: Interesting, but not worth it
Oath Shot: Very very few people trap now
Prepared Shot: Tried, not that amazing. Only worth it to spam around conc shot, but that really isn't that impressive.
Incendiary arrows: ARCANE MIMICRY PREPARED STANCE but yea, not that great
Life Barrier: Bad unless you feel like SOMW spiking (which is also bad)
Shield of Deflection: Good, but fairly difficult to use. It basically makes the target immune to melee for 7-8 sec, so you'd better be using it well enough so that you get your 10 energy + elite's worth in those 8 sec.
BiP: Not that amazing.
Corrupt Enchantment: Decent, but only in a fairly enchant-heavy metagame, otherwise Reapers outclasses it.
Lingering Curse: Fairly bad
Signet of Suffering: It's like a crappy FoC spike.

[skill]Flourish[/skill] Useless on a primary warrior, now useless on an assassin just use moebius
[skill]Magehunter Strike[/skill]See Cleave.
[skill]Hundered Blades[/skill]Just use sun+moon.
[skill]Oath Shot[/skill]Good skill
[skill]Prepared Shot[/skill] If you want energy management on a ranger go for it. You're better off using expertise though.
[skill]Incendiary Arrows[/skill]Its like choking gas but you can't keep it up permanently.
[skill]Life Barrier[/skill]bonding is garbage in general and if you are bonding you're going to use a better elite than this crap.
[skill]Shield of Deflection[/skill]Good skill if you know when to use it otherwise it will kill you because you run out of energy
[skill]Blood is Power[/skill]Worth the sacrifice? Yes if you don't suck.
[skill]Corrupt Enchantment[/skill]Good degen? Yes but you're better off with reapers
[skill]Lingering Curse[/skill]I think this deserves testing. I don't. It's crap. Half healing is nice and if you can fit five copies of it in your build it gets messy. But you can really only do that if you're a flesh golem in perdition rock. We're not, we're PVP players in the Gladiator's Arena.
[skill]Signet of Suffering[/skill]Worth the recharge? If you're going to necro spike just run SB/Ri.
I fixed your post for you.

Cleave: Crap
Flourish: Really crap
Magehunter: Crap
Hundred Blades: Really crap
Oath Shot: Good for pvp oath trapping
Prepared Shot: Decent in certain builds
Incendiary arrows: Semi-crap
Life Barrier: Crap, unless you're pve farming with bonder
Shield of Deflection: Best skill of them all
BiP: Decent in certain builds
Corrupt Enchantment: Decent in certain builds
Lingering Curse: Semi-crap
Signet of Suffering: Really crap

Hype around these elite skills? The only skills I really see hype for is SoD and possibly oath shot. The others are just hyped by really bad players who think they know everything because they can kill level 6 charr or sometimes AB touch rangers.

Ironic how the only one you doubt in ability (SoD) is the only skill that's actually worth calling "good" in that list.

I think corrupt enchantment is underestimated.
I've never used it in gvg but in RA it is king.
Another value is that It's entertainment value is the highest in the game.

Cleave: Battle Rage + 6 axe adrenaline skills = every hit using a new Adrenaline skill. So its better then Cleave if you go for dmg per hit.

Magehunter: Only good versus monks using Guardian. Magehunter punishes them a bit for using it.

Blood is Power: really great in PvE harder areas, since it can be used in a Battery-Necromancer. His primary purpose in the team is keeping the monks high on energy, any excess energy can go to the Elementalists nukers and other energy requiring damage dealers.
It basically gives ur team a free-card for spamming high energy costs skills.

Signet of Suffering recharge can be reduced to 10 seconds with Mantra of Inscriptions or something. But that doesnt really make it a whole lot better. Maybe in a hex spike team or something, but you'll need to design a whole team build around it.
