What do you propose? I say they just remove it... hasn't ANet done something like that before?...

Well they have nerfed popular elites out of use in the past, Ether Renewal, so I dont know what the hesitation would be on a non-elite that everyone knows is broke. But to answer your question, yes removal from the game would be great imo.

remove or nerf the range. this skill is even better than shadow melt, and it isn't elite...

Shadow stepping is stupid altogether and should never have been added in the first place, the same can be said for assassins.

In what aspect of the game would you say recall im imba? I cant see it being used in HA,TA. Hero battles the meta has moved on from Recall(except mo/a)and in GvG no one is running recall because 'sins kinda suck.

Nerf range of all shadowsteps to be maximum Earshot. I think this would solve a lot. If Recall teleported you at most in Earshot range i don't think it'd be broken.

Of course you dont see it used in HA or TA because for the most part positioning is less relevant. However it is still exploited in Hero Battle's. Just because a skill that is imbalanced is not used as widely now as in the past doesnt give it a red light for needing a fix.

It would affect Shadow of Haste, Recall and AoD. I doubt this can be considered as 'totally ruining the class'. If anything, SoHaste and Recall are used more often on non-sin than the other way around.

It might some PvE farming, not sure, but this is PvP forum...

I remember Recall ending when you exited radar range whilst I was abusing it in HvH earlier, but I just went in a few minutes ago and that no longer happens. *shrug*

because the enchant now maintains on you not your recall target, so u have no limit to how far away you can get, i guested for a team recently running a 5/3 split in gvg with 3 recall players (monk, assassin, ele) and it is very effective if you play it right, and yes in the current meta it is imba.

i dont know how you could change it to not ruin really the 1 use it has ever had, maybe a time limit and not a maintained enchant and put it in say shadow arts so it becomes attribute based?

How about instead of totally shafting what little shadow stepping skills sin's have by changing the maximum range, you just put a time limit on Recall rather than making it a maintained enchantment, say 20 seconds?

I'm starting to think people don't want to fix skills, they simply want to make them worthless....

Anything that makes you totally forget about positioning should not be in the game.

Just make it elite. Or that maximum range thing. Although that would also destroy AoD, one of the better balanced teleport skills, and requires some skill to use.

I like the time limit idea. It would make it more tight on energy for one thing.

Just remove it because ANet always takes way too much time to balance a skill and it is often still terrible.

Would make it the only maintained enchant with a duration, but it's still probably the best way to balance it off.

It seems like a good idea for a skill, allowing for a more pre-emptive version of something like Return at a heavier energy cost, the problem is that it's not being used for short gank missions with a not-too-distant anchor, it's being used for exactly the opposite.

Recall is already a huge energy hog.

Just fix the range.

It should be maintained on the ally...Then it wouldn't become completely useless...
