Default Top Ranked Players Build: Help me fill it in

Hello,
I watched the #4 ranked Hero Battle player several times today. I managed to write down almost his entire build.

If you have suggestions on attribute changes, or what the blank skills might have been, please post them.

Cheers,

the 2 missing skills on the rangers are charm animal (i bet you feel stupid )

I'm sure that the monk has SOME sort of hex removal, I would check first though.

I'm pretty sure you copied down a skill wrong... Balthazar's Aura should instead be Balthazar's Spirit. Also, I've seen this build plenty of times before, and noticed that most of the monks are carrying Dismiss Condition AND Mending Touch, with no hex removal. That's all I can think of.

EDIT: I think 16 in BM on your R/P's is a bit overkill. Try 15, but other than their attributes look about right. Same witht he assassin, I'd run 14 or 15 in Dagger Mastery. Also, make sure you have 13 in CS to get the +3 on criticals; you don't need so much in Deadly Arts, because Impale's only there for the Deep Wound.

No, I can't agree with that. I've watched a lot of games where the Monk uses Balthazar's Spirit. It's an excellent way for them to get energy, since they're targeted so often. I've never seen a Monk in that kind of build use Balthazar's Aura.

The rest is fair, although I would like to say that the pet is probably the one dealing the bulk of the damage in the R/P build, so higher BM will result in greater damage output. The only thing to weigh that with is the loss of max health by the Ranger. Perhaps a better idea would be to just use a Minor Rune to take it down to 14, and not lower your max health so much. In that case, you might also want to swap Predatory Bond for Disrupting Lunge, because you'll want something to be pestering those Inviciway builds with E/Ds.

Also, it might be nice to try and keep track of what type of weapon sets they're using. So far, the only thing I've decided on is a Zealous Spearhead, so that the Ranger can act as more of a battery for her pet.

I've also seen variants of the rangers with lightning reflexes, unlike with touchers it will increase their damage output too. Last I hear otygh cry's unblockable clause may not even work so I would investigate the usefulness of that.

I also wonder how that kind of assassin can kill the spearchucker rangers that are becoming increasingly common, one of the reasons people go for it is that it can survive a sin combo with a little micro. I see some better players running moebius now for that exact reason.

One clever thing I noticed one player do was make one Spearchucker be an anti-caster and the other one be anti-melee or anti-Spearchucker.

The anti-caster would carry Disrupting Lunge. The anti-melee carried Wild Throw. I think there were a couple of other variants in the build to make it like that, but they kept the core skills for the build.

"I can't agree with that."... In no way whatsoever did I suggest that he should use Balthazar's Aura over Spirit. In fact, I said the exact opposite. Quote: "Balthazar's Aura should instead be Balthazar's Spirit." In other words... "should not be Balthazar's Aura". If you click on the link the OP has, you'll notice his monk is carrying Balthazar's Aura, not Spirit.

Personally, i think its not the build that you really want but the strategy. Every build should have some sort of strategy behind it.
