More themed maps would be good... yeah...

But more like Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry.... where there is actually something more to do than just capture shrines and kill each other. As it stands, Alliance Battle is only marginally more interesting than GvG... which as I discovered earlier is less fun than drinking emulsion.

only if you play assassins. but then again, assassins are very boring to play no matter what game type you're playing in. just one of the reasons why i stopped playing them. jam 6 buttons in order and your win. or lose. no real thinking or skill required.

one thing that can be improved upon are the shrines themselves. the most they can do is produce an AoE in their surrounding area, and do not affect the game field at all. perhaps make it so that capturing a shrine will push the "battle lines" towards your opponents, where NPCs appear on the "battle lines" to help you fight any opponents nearby.

Personally, they should open them up to chapters other than Factions and revert them back to Factions Preview Event methods.

Full teams of 12, completely random. It was fast to get into and it was fun. Fun being the operative word.

agreed with soticoto.
AB is about capping shrines and some killing, gets to boring.
get 2 maps like it is now
2 maps Fort aspenwood like this:
kurzick/luxon forts where the defenders need to hold out for X amount of time, and attackers need to kill some guy
2 pure deathmatch maps or something.

Well, I vote for some new play styles for AB, I was thinking something on the lines of a capture the flag type to match, lets say, which team can cap the flag more within 10 minutes, or whoever can cap the flag 10 times or so 1st etc etc. With even maps both teams having a fortress, with large maps with lots of room for movement and plenty of Siege weapons ftw.

King of the Hill is another possiblity, but that would promote too much mobbing.

Or maybe, a hostage saving game, One team must save some captured allies from an enemy prison etc etc.

Loads of possible ideas

Idea #1:
Having elite characters that are computer controlled that can appear only on certain maps. Maybe some of the Luxons will be able to control a Siege Turtle by either commanding it to follow the player or simply becoming the Turtle and the player controls ever move it makes. Same thing for the Kurzicks and being able to use the Juggernaut

Idea #2:
Have members of the Luxon and Kurzick armies that are released from the base when they are losing at some point or just out to help everyone else. This would really get a big fight going
