Vampiric ideally, sundering realistically in most cases.
If 1 in 8 of your attacks hit, you arent going to kill anything either way - you'll only kill when your team shuts down enough defenses so that most of your attacks hit, at which point you will want vampiric.

Sundering vs Vamp discussion is really dumb, it won't make or break the game if you run one or the other. I prefer sundering myself because I notice the bigger hits quite often, don't feel the same about vamp. I use vamp on people who are bad at kiting or NPC's. I use zealous if my bar is something like bulls/shock/dblow/frenzy. Shit dies anyway, it really doesn't matter that much.

why? because in a spike, you want the assured damage over the unpredictable damage. vamp fills that requirement.

why sundering for pressure? well, warrior pressure consists mostly of many minispikes strung together in rapid succession. while each minispike probably won't kill someone outright, the sudden damage spike from sundering can catch monks off-guard.

remember, consistent damage doesn't kill. sudden, unpredictable damage will.

or, that's what ensign said a year ago. talk to him if you don't believe me.
Or you can run zealous when your low on energy. Use vamp for pressure and spikes and elemental for warriors.
